Question about Alesis Multimix 8 USB 8-Channel Mixer Spdif System
I just bought an Alesis Multimix 8 USB for my PC (I use Windows XP). At first I got everything to work all right except for the installation of one of the drivers (which gave me this message: ERROR: Timeout- 0x0005). Thinking I might have installed it wrong, I deleted all of the installed programs on my computer to start fresh. However, now whenever I plug in the interface or put in the disk, the computer will not even recognize either of them. I tried a different USB cord and tried using the interface on another computer and it wouldn't show up on that one either. Thanks very much in advance for any help!
There are NO drivers to be installed for this device. Plug in the usb to the device, and the PC once the PC is running turn on the mixer. XP should inform you that a USB Audio Device has been found & installed. Any software you use for rec'ing will let you choose what sound device to use, select USB Audio Codec.
