Ringtone song from AT&T wont work

I have downloaded three ringtones to use on three contacts. I moved the contacts to the phone memory from the sim. The ringtone shows on the contact but the common ringtone still rings when those contacts call. Any suggestions. thanks John

Didn't work.. Checked each contact and the ringtone is properly shown.

Tried changing displays, no luck. The ringtone that were downloaded will play in the song file. They will also work as a general ringtone, they just won't respond to the assigned caller's contact info.

Ensure that under the contact the default ringtone is shown as what you request.

step 2 go to your profile which shows the display you want to choose on your phone remove it on some Nokia no matter what ringtone you choose it will ring whatever is the chosen ringtone for the display profile.

Downloaded a ringtone for LG 420g. The mp3 file plays but says it's to big to use as a ringtone. Some files included w/phone are larger and work. File size 469.0KB

it could be a problem of not enough phone memory if the phone takes a memory card then move all photos etc onto the memory card if it doesnt you may have to delete some files to make the song you want as a ringtone go to the phone settings and then to memory settings to see how much memory is taken up on your phone it may be as simple as deleteing one or two files

Set my fav tunes as ringtone ?

Ringtones or songs downloaded or copied to your storage card are not automatically added to the ringtone selection menu. You need to go to the Music application and set a ringtone or song in your storage card as your ringtone. To do that top up arrow and Music then tap the three paralel lines at the bottom-left corner of the screen to go to the Library. Play the song that you want to use as a ringtone and on the Playback screen, press MENU and then tap Set as ringtone.

To change the ringtone press MENU, and then tap Settings. Tap Personalize > Default ringtone. The Phone ringtone selection menu then opens and you can scroll through the available ringtones and tap the ringtone you want to use then tap OK.

Created my own ringtone, downloaded to my phone, now when I select ringtone, the one I created does not appear, I downloaded to both the the micro SD card AND the phone memory. h el p I can see and hear...

Putting ringtones on the phone is pretty easy, they have to be mp3 format, they have to be 198 kb or lower, go to your memory card, click on the ringtone, the next screen will show all your songs, click on your ringtones, move them to phone, paste under audio (should be the first option)Then back out of the screens, go to my stuff, click on audio, your ringtones should be there, click on one of them, in the upper right hand corner you will see a square with lines in it, click on it, it will give you the option to use as - Ringtone or Ringtone ID.

Mp3 down loads wont download

I believe you have to send the song to your phone and store it on a external memory card. The E815 phone doesn't allow you to use songs as ring tones as far as I know.

Downloading a ringtone to my phone

in motorola v3 razr ringtones get downloaded in the phone memory and doesnot go to the card memory . so you need to switch the memory to the phone memory and then you will be able to see that ringtone. once you move that ringtone to the card memory and then you can assign the ringtone also .

If you want ot assign the ringtone to some particular contact then it should be in the phone memory then only it wil pick up that not from the card .

Cannot apply mp3 ringtones as ringers

U really need the phone tools disk to change your songs into useable clips. This phone won't play a full song as a ringtone, only clips. THe software is really easy to use and you can find it on ebay fairly cheap, just make sure to enter the correct phone into the software for correct support. Good luck!

Ringer ID won't work

If this doesnt work then your phone must be possesed..
1. Go to your phone book.  Choose a contact.
2. Go to options. Then Edit Contact.
3. Now scroll down all the way to Ringer ID:__ and hit select it.
4. You should see a list of songs  and sounds like silent, Vibe Dot.. etc
5. Scroll down until you want the ringer for that contact.
6. Once you found the ringtone hit select it.  You should now have the ringtone for that contact.  NOW hit "DONE" or it will not work!  If you dont hit done it will use the DEFAULT ringtone provided by the phone.  Also, if you have a memory card in your KRZR k1 and all your songs are on the memory card you wont be able to use it, move them to your phone memory so you can choose it from the list.  mobiles24.com also can give you free ringtones too.. check it out.
