There is TROJAN HORSE virus in my laptop
there is trojan horse virus in my laptop. i ve a symantec norton 2004 antivirus. everytime i update my antivirus, there's some process happening n it comes again unable to hell the virus.... it got detected in 3 locations in the laptop. i dun know wat shud b done to treat this virus n procedures to be followed for its removal.

you need to press F8 while the pc is booting for a startup in safe mode, then when in safe mode select start windows in safe mode, go to my computer, properties>system restore tab and turn off system restore and then run the scan again as these trojans cannot be deleted when the pc is in normal use.
If your antivirus finds them but cannot heal, make a note of the file that has the trojan and then search for the file and delete it manually.
Ensure after the trojans are deleted that you tuirn system restore back on

I also learned that you can "reinstall" any viruses that were on your computer before the restore point was created, because it archived them too. You have to shut off restore so that the restore point, along with any viruses it might contain, are all deleted.
