SOURCE: I've got an Acer Aspire

This is a defect in the LCD panel itself - the layers of the screen are starting to get squished one on top of each other . This is done by the air pressure , heating the laptop locally lowers that and the screen goes back to normal.
The problem is unfixable and it's only gonna go worse. You need to replace the LCD screen of the laptop. The only place you will find it for sure is a Acer service shop so take your laptop to one.

SOURCE: my Acer D250 netbook starts

Suggest using Acer eRecovery Management to attempt problem resolution as follows...
1. begin with the D250 powered off ...
2. if present, remove any external monitor (unplug its VGA connector from D250 left side)
3. power on and immediately press F2 to enter the BIOS / setup utility
4. using the right cursor key, cursor over to the Main tab of the InsydeH20 Setup Utility
5. if D2D Recovery is not enabled, cursor down to it, press Enter key and enable in pop-up
6. save any changes by pressing F10 to save and exit, otherwise press Esc to just exit
7. press Alt and F10 together while the Acer logo is showing to get entry into eRecovery.
8. eRecovery entry is indicated by message at bottom of screen "Windows is loading files...".
9. if not successful, power off, wait a minute then power on again and immediately
10. press Alt and F10 at the same time - do this several times while Acer logo showing.
11. once in Acer eRecovery Management (V7.0.10) screen, just leave it there........
12. if after a day or so, the screen has not changed, the problem is likely NOT hardware.
13. on the other hand, if your screen problem occurs after awhile, then it is hardware.
14. if it is not hardware, then your Operating System is likely corrupt or has a virus.
15. If it is not a hardware problem, you can completely restore system to factory defaults.
16. board level hardware repairs best done by sending D250 to Acer's authorized shops.

SOURCE: band of darker good quality colour at top quarter

Try having your colour depth at 32 bit, right click on your desktop and goto graphics properties and select 32 bit instead of 16bit

My I pad lost the colours and turned white and blak how can I fix it

  • Hi, have you activated the Reverse colours function? Go to Settings / General / Accessibility / Invert Colours
  • did you drop it by any chance? My boy dropped his and we got the dreaded black screen one time - then we gave it the hard smack treatment on the backside to release the jammed accelerometer - this worked perfectly the 1st time it happened, the 2nd time he dropped it we reverted to strange black and white colours, the smacking continued, and the colours came back.

Color on TV changes to black and white, then after awhile changes back

It is possible to be the box, and not your tv. A good way to test is to see if it does it when you are watching a dvd or another source. (game system, blue ray, ect) Hope this helps! Good luck!

Videos can only be played in black and white, This happened suddenly. A few weeks ago the screen was in full colour I hope you can tell me how to fix this

Hello - I am wondering if you are using the S-Video input to your display. If an S-Vid cable is bad, you will either get No Picture at all or only a Black and White picture.

Cable on TV suddenly went to black & white (and a bit fuzzy)(some channels show faint colour). Was fine, nothing was changed, one day was suddenly B&W. TV screen is not the problem, all other cable...

Was playing around with the TV's menu and changed the Tuning Band from "HRC cable" to "IRC cable". Suddenly I have colour again. No one had adjusted any of the controls, so still not sure why one day it was fine and the next day it had gone to black and white, but changing the Tuning Band fixed the colour problem for me.

Black and white only

Well - it's fixed - but no thanks to anything I did.  It's just all of a sudden working fine again.  I tried three different dvd's the other night, and all were black and white.  But last night the same dvd's were back to colour.  Who knows?
But thanks for asking.

I have a laptop connected to my HP 5740 & it use to print my PDF's with no problem. Then all of a sudden it prints the wjole PDF in black. What could be done to fix this?

When was the last time you changed colour cartridge?
Your colour cartridge has probably run out. Once you install new colour cartridge, it should print in colour.

Why does it keep running out of color ink, while printing only Black and White?

Whilst you rarely print in colour, its important to know that you should try to print in colour at least once a week. This will reduce the risk of your colour nozzles blocking up.

Many people have gone out to replace their 'hardly used' colour cartridges when they dont work, thinking that they have dried up, when infact its simply blocked nozzles.

If you want to keep your colour nozzles and ink ready to run, just do a full colour alignment every 1-2 weeks. Minimal ink usage there and you keep your Canon MP780 running well!

Lg 32lc2r, only showing picture in black and white

Make sure that the color control level is set to the default or 50% to start with. This should be in the Video menu.

The colour for the tuner and for the encoded base-band video uses a circuit area called the colour demodulator. It is possible that this cirucuit area has failed and needs servicing.
