Question about LG VX9400 Cellular Phone

BATTERY UNABLE TO CHARGE, ALTHOUGH PHONE WORKS

My razor phone will not charge after water damage. everything else works just wont charge battery. replaced battery and new one won't charge. got new phone and new battery and have same problem with them. being told by insurance company that i wrecked the chargers and new battery by using them in water damaged phone.cAN CHARGER USED ON OLD WATER DAMAGED PHONE DAMAGE NEW PHONE AND NEW BATTERY JUST BECAUSE IT WAS USED TO TRY TO CHARGE OLD WATER DAMAGED PHONE? My LGVX9400 got some water damage. And although the phone itself works fine (i can use it when it is plugged into the charger) the battery eventually died and now it wont charge it back up again. I ordered a new battery and i let the new one charge for over 24 hours thinking it was getting a full charge but then realized it hasnt charged at all and the phone wont even turn on with the new battery. BTW: that little white dot under the battery, it turned from whate to pink, does that have anything to do with it?

Well, the white to pink dot is a sign of water in the phone. It is a moisture indicator and the first thing the repair fols look for so they can deny any claims.

They second thing is you can get an external battery charger for the razor. They run about 5 dollars and allow you to charge the battery seperate from the phone.

hello,

from explanation this means that you are trying to charge your razor with another phone charger , it will not work out for them self because they are not compatible .

what you need to get your razor phone is the type of his own charger ,but if you can not fine it own charger then you will have to go the store together with your razor phone then will help in locating it own charger that will work for with out any damage on your phone

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Phone won't hold charge

You can get a universal charger that charges the battery independent of the phone at :

Your battery has gone out most likely. Take it to the retailer and ask them about a new battery

Razor will not charge

my own razor does this also. the problem is the charging port on the phone. try using an electronics cleaner inside the port but do not oervsaturate. Otherwise if the phone is warrantied or you have insurance take your phone in and get it changed. I had a spare phone that i use to charge my battery. hope this helps.

Razor phone with water spill damage

try taking it apart and letting it all sit straight up for one week thats what i did it works sometimes if not your best set is to find a local cell phone shop not a franchise one like in a mall and ask if they can get it fixed or refurbished..

Unable to charge the razor

there may be a short in the wire or in the plug. try wiggling it around a little bit and see if you can get a connection

Unable to charge :(

Does it say something like "charger not recognized". I remember having this problem with my razor, and it drove me crazy for several days, then it went away and has never returned. I may have also blasted all the txt messages away to help fix it to. Killing all the txt messages seems to help this phone if its acting up. Definitely speeds up the menu operation. Apparently 250 txt messages is its capacity, even though it will store alot more.
