PC with windows xp professional , on booting , shuts down immediately everesince I uninstalled Nero Dvd writing programme

Reboot your PC and immediately start tapping the F8 key, then choose to start in safe mode. Now click the start button, then click run. Type MSCONFIG and choose startup programs and disable all startup programs and see if it boots ok. If it does you can retype msconfig and one at a time re-enable your startup programs until you find the one that makes your PC hang and reboot, Keep that one turned off after you find it, and re-enable the rest of your startup items.

Laptop wont start windows xp pro. goes to a blue

Take one memory stick out and test. Then do the other. Also checking each memory slot.

If not solved. When the computer starts, continually press F8 until you get startup menu- select SAFE MODE and fix the driver or software that is in startup
or

Roll back to last known configuration that worked.

While you are there- disable Auto Reboot on Failure.

Safe mode

You can also force the system into safe mode. You click on startup and type in msconfig. Click the general tab and select diags and the system will reboot to safe mode. Change it back to normal to get your system out of safe mode.

Laptop startup problem

There are several possibilities here. Hardware like the hard disk drive or operating system problems and hopefully that's all it is. I'm assuming all are running XP with all the upgrades. The F8 key while booting XP will give you the option of starting in the SAFE MODE. In this environment open your web browser and go to TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, DELETE. Ignore all warnings and delete all files and delete all cookies. Reboot.
On reboot see if XP will boot normally. If not reboot ad enter the safe mode again. Either way go to 'start' 'all programs' 'accessories' 'defrag' and run 'defrag'. reboot and hope all is well. If you are able to get through these processes and there are still problems along the way it would seem that there is either a hard drive problem or a corruption of the XP operating system. Your computer willl need expert hands on advice.

Windows xp pro explorer.exe

Spyware and temp file overload usually are to blame here.

Look and install these two applications:
ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com)
Spy-Bot Seek and Destroy www.majorgeeks.com

Make sure to close all programs specially anti-virus programs before you install them. Then run them in SAFE MODE.

How to enter safe mode:
Reboot your PC and RIGHT AFTER your PC startup BIOS logo and before Windows kicks in tap the F8 key and a Startup Menu should appear, use your arrow keys to select SAFE MODE and run the above applications. Clean any temp files and clear out any spyware.

Hope That Helps!

Plz help me with my problem in my computer

Hi, Hardware wise this could be a memory issue. However, more often than not, it would be similar to a video problem that it either freezes or BSOD. Try reseating your mem sticks; OS wise, it may be corrupt drivers or XP startup files. Try to run in Safe Mode and check it if will load fully. If yes, you can start finding out anything out of the ordinary. If no also, then you may have to repair Windows; Virus wise, it may be that you have a virus or malicious software running at startup instructing your PC to shutdown. Try running in Safe Mode. If it will load, go to Start, Run, type "msconfig", Startup. Check all the programs that run at start up and uncheck those that you do not recognize. Reboot. If it will not run even in Safe Mode, you may need to reinstall/repair your Windows XP. Good luck and hope this be of some help to you.
