Sounds like the on/off button is faulty. It may need replacing, but try a squirt of WD40 on the switch WITH THE POWER TURNED OFF!! COS WD40 IS COMBUSTABLE

But like my dear old Dad said ''it works like magic in a tin''

If it is placing a dimple in the gasket, this may be the culprit. Try taping the switch off with duct tape and closing the door to see if it seals properly. Also make sure you have all food items clear. this is another factor in doors not closing, especially freezers.

When I wash comforter in whirlpool duet front load water comes

first an foremost your washer isn't designed to wash comforters, the capacity isn't large enough. only clothes sheets . the reason ur door wont stay closed is the bulk item is pushing it open. overloading washer will cause $$ major problems. simiply take that to the cleaners an save urself some big bucks.

Which dishwashere auto resume wash cycle when door is closed?

All the tall tub dishwashers made by Whirlpool (inc. Kenmore and Kithcenaid) must have the start button pressed after adding a dish. If the start button control light is blinking, you must press start. On those models with buttons on the top of the door you must, in addition, close the door within aprox 5 seconds after pushing start. Hope this helps. Ken
