Question about Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop Computer

1 Answer

Power save mode turns on while I'm still on the computer.

At a random time my computer's "power save mode" kicks in, when I'm still on the computer. I disabled all "power save mode" options I could find, but that didn't work. It says that I can move the mouse or hit any key on the keyboard to exit "power save mode", but that doesn't work either.

Disable Power Management on Windows 7 or Vista If you are using a desktop computer, chances are that you don’t want the computer to go to sleep automatically. This is even more the case if you are running Windows 7 or Vista in a virtual machine for testing purposes.
Disabling Power Management in Windows 7
Start by clicking on the power icon, and open up the More power options:

Sure. I'll assume you have Windoze....Winders.... XP Home or Pro.
1. Disable 802.1x.
2. Disable the "power save" feature on your unspecified wireless
router.
3. Disable Super-G Turbo mode if necessary.

I have hp pavilion dv4 laptop . The wifi is disabled by itself!

At the time when laptop is charging, go to power settings and disable the battery (energy) saving option, as this option starts to switch off devices one by one to prolong the discharge time.

Check the power setting in control panel of windows. If you have a monitor from another computer swap them and see if the problem stays with the computer or monitor.

How do we turn off the POWER SAVING MODE on the monitor screen?

Try going into your Start Menu then going into your control panel...then clicking on your "power options"....then switching the options to 'always on'..if this does not work..(as it seems you may not be seeing this because the monitor is in power saving mode) try fiddling with the setup option on your monitor and find a possible powersaving mode enabled function and disable it. every monitor is different so I couldn't really help you here...if this doesn't yield results try another monitor to see if it's the monitor having the problems or the computers video card...the video card could very well be the culprit...

E machine monitor

Check the settings control panel, power options to make sure the setting is not engage to power saving after "minutes" if it is change to the require time or disable, then apply the settings and exit. if this is not the problem, the other most common problem with these emachines and random and frequent unplanned shutdowns is a the motherboard itself.
