Screen saver comes on too soon cutting off movies

go to start menu, find the search bar and type in screen saver. If that does not work then go to control panel, Personalization or display and find screen saver. There you can adjust the time when it will kick on.

How to change screen saver on hp mini

Hi Iosherrera,

I see that you are tying to change your screen saver on you HP mini 210-2160NR.

* Your HP mini 210-2160NR has Windows7 Starter Edition installed,
* click on start you will see a search bar type in screensaver,
* then choose Change screen saver,
* the Screen Saver Settings windows will appear on your screen, select the screen saver you desire then click on Apply then OK, this is where you can change your screen saver settings instead of going to personalize.

Windows7 starter edition does not have functions like the other window7 version but the above instructions are a work around to personalize your Windows7 starter.

I hope that this will answer your query regarding how to change your Screen Saver on your HP mini 210-2160NR, have a nice day.

Screensaver not working

In Windows XP, right click on your desktop somewhere, and choose Properties. On the Screen Saver tab, pick another Screen Saver from the drop down, and set the Wait time to 1 minute. Click OK and see if it works. You may have to drill into "Settings" next to the screen saver. Depending on your hardware, the 3D screen saver might be too much for it to handle. Try disabling some things in settings or choosing a different Screen Saver.
Hope this helps! If so, please give a rating!

How do I get rid of screen savers I have one with underwater, fish swimming, bubbles and behind that one I have a Halloween on with a black cat, bats, etc.

If your are running Windows XP you have have several options. USE OPTION 3 ONLY if you are comfortable working with system files and as a last resort.

  1. Open your "control panel" > "Display". This will open your "Display Properties" window. Click the screen saver tab and set your screen saver to "[None]" This setting will not put your monitor into any screen saver mode.
  2. Open your "control panel" > "add or remove programs" usually a downloaded screen saver will appear in this list, find the appropriate file/screen saver you wish to remove & click remove. If you wish to permanently remove the screen savers.
  3. I strongly suggest you do full back up of your system or at minimum create a "Restore Point" BEFORE you do any of the following suggestions!!! You could also search for the screen saver files. Click "Start" > "Search" This will open the "Search Results" Dialog window. look in your local hard drive where XP OS is installed. This usually is your c: drive. In the "All or part of the file name:" box enter "*.scr" this will give you a list of screen savers in your "C:\WINDOWS\system32" folder. Be VERY CAREFUL working in this file!!!! If you delete the wrong file your OS System may quit working properly or altogether! I am not sure if a downloaded screen saver has the file extension ".scr", I think they do. Maybe someone else could clarify that for both of us.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Have you adjusted the screen saver settings in the display properties or the advanced power settings? How long have you had it? And has the screen saver worked before?

Try another screen saver for starters. If another screen saver works than the Vista screen saver may be missing from within the Windows directory.
