I attempted this and it worked once or twice but no more....

  • meganstradle May 27, 2009

After attempting your suggestion it took 1 perfect photo, but the next 3 of 4 I took were blurry again. The coloring was a little better but not much.

I have reset the camera several times and messed with the settings as best to my knowledge (which is fairly small).

I dont know why it just started doing this. It was working perfectly fine a week ago.

I haven't dropped it and I have removed the battery, but not the memory card as well.

i will leave both of those out for about an hour and let you know

    Thank you

  • meganstradle May 27, 2009

The coloring is much better - but it is still very blurry

    I'm completely at a loss

  • meganstradle May 27, 2009

It takes perfect pictures in our basement where it is dark.

But the minute we're in the light it gets ridiulously blurry, saturated with light, and has lines

  • meganstradle May 27, 2009

How do I set it to day mode or outdoors?

Hi there,

click the menu buttom on the case. Instantly colors indoors or outdoors assume a more normal tint. Its not like you have to use this a lot, but indoors when you want the photos just right, its easy to do.

Let me know for any clarifications

have you dropped the camera or any like incidents happen??

    • do try also removing the camera battery & memory card for 1 hour.

    • put back the battery w/out the memory card, and test it again.
    Update me again here.

Exposure dark / yellowish tint

The noise reduction aspect of this camera can cause some of this--you may wish to reduce the noise reduction in the quality settings of the camera (see your manual for directions) further, if you are open to post-production fixes you may wish to use a program like Adobe Lightroom2 to correct some of this. Finally you may wish to shoot indoors using the RAW or RAW+JPEG setting. Doing so will give you more control over post-production color correction, and somewhat less artifacting from the noise reduction software.

Yellowish tint on faces, shadows, gold backgrounds

Check the white balance setting of the camera. As you have a yellow cast, it could be because you are using it in Fluorescent (or Tubelight) setting. Changing this to Auto should solve this problem.

In photo editing programs there are Hue settings where you can easily fix that problem. There are off course night lens filters but not for amateur cameras.

Sanyo 5.0 megpi( yellow tint)

yellowish color is due to the light your flash gives when taking pictures. i suggest you bring that to a service center and let them take a look at your camera...probably needs a bulb replacement.
