For the spots....

I had the same problem, first a blue spot then a green spot showed up. I contacted Panasonic Customer Support. They sent someone out and they fixed the TV for free. They reprogrammed the EEPROM chip in the TV. It is a defect. My TV was 4 years old and out of warranty. They came out last week.

So long as it is not happening by something you have done. It will be fixed free of charge. Call them, it solves the problem.

I changed the lamp on my pt44-lcx65 panasonic tv and everything comes on great but red lamp light is still lit

Turn on the television.
  1. Press the volume down button on the TV display (not the remote!)
  2. While pressing the volume button, press the "split" or "PIP" button on your remote.
If it works, you'll see a message like this, an the lamp indicator light will turn off. Success!

I have a PT44LX65, Green and blue spot after lamp changed

It is better to contact your local Panasonic authorized service center. This issue is easy fix by connecting special Panasonic-issued tool (programmer) to restore corrupted file in EEPROM inside of your TV. Rear cover have to be removed, tool plugged in service socket and 15 minutes later your screen will be as good as new.
Without this tool - I would say it's impossible unless you have experience in hacking memory devices. And still got to find original file and download it into EEPROM.
Good luck!

I have pink spots on my tv screen. do you know

you most likely have a light engine problem ocouring causing the pink spots
they usualy have to be replaced with a remanufactured light engine you might see if you got a extended warranty on the unit as this can be a tad expensive

Green tint to bright spots on screen

Try to observe the problem when there is a white screen or predominantly white screen. If the screen is green or yellow where it should be white, its most likely a problem with one or more of the small LCD panels in the TV's light engine.

Its an expensive problem to fix. The light engine most likely will have to be replaced. Check with Panasonic customer relations for possible assistance.

I have a Panasonic model # PT-44LCX65 TV and have just replaced the lamp, as it was time to do so. A pink dot, that appeared before the old lamp needed replaced, remains on the picture. How is this fixed?

There are a few other threads on this board with the same issue, some say green spots, some say red spots, in my case it was blue/purple spots, but the solution is the same for all of them. Contact Panasonic and tell them that you read online that they are offering a warranty repair for this known "fuzzy spots" issue. They will send out a local repairman who will perform an EEPROM update to one of the computer chips inside of your TV, and viola good as new.
That is what others on this site suggested to me, and I did it and got all repairs covered under warranty by Panasonic even though my TV is 2+ out of the warranty period.
Good luck!

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

Hi--Bought my panasonic pt-52lcx65 on sale for $2200 in 8/05. Replaced the lamp for about $300 in 1/08, just prior to Superbowl. Admittedly, this was to be expected after family members watched lots of tv over 30 months. However, two months later the blue spot emerged in 3/08, and red spot emerged 5/08. Set looks decorated by a Andy Warhol or Van Gogh wannabe. I'm looking for a fix it solution. Dr. Bob Heiliger, Lebanon, OH.
