The right Channel is out on my system. both front and rear. I found a burned up resistor but don't know the value of it. I bought two AMP IC's as well but don't know if that is the Problem. I'll install a 1/4 watt resistor today and see what happens.
Sounds like you enjoy repairing stuff. The problem is, you may only be chasing from one condition to the other. Remember the failed resistor was a secondary effect from a primary failure in advance of the resistor in the circuit. As a rule, the cost of repair exceeds the replacement cost; thus I suggest getting a whole new Circuit board or another system. You can get a good deal at Tiger Direct on the internet. Go to the Refurbished section and get a very low price.
SOURCE: Creative Inspire 5200 speakers connecting to DVD player.
These are computer speakers, they will not work for a dvd player... Your dvd player has an rca/collex (SP) cable while your speakers have a 2.5 headphone style jack

SOURCE: connecting creative labs fps 1600 sound system to laptop. How?
hi, i recommend just using the headphone out, and it probably will not hurt the notebook, as it is not feeding back into the notebooks sound device. you may wish to do as i did, and get a creative labs external sound card. much improvement over the on-board high def sound built into my acer notebook.with all the connections you would want! as for speakers there are alot of models to pick from.i usually go with creative, but this time i went logitech- thx, dts, ect. and i am very happy. i hope this helps you make a decision on what do. good luck!glen
