GE Arctica Profile getting too cold, temp set to 37 actual temp is 25-35

Model #PSS27SGMD BS. It's a side by side, freezer works properly. Fridge gets too cold. Water bottles begin to freeze. Salad drawer freezes everything. We replaced the climate control board and the mother board and the problem remains the same. Unit is about 7 years old. Thanks for your help, John jkelly8870@comcast.net I have a GE profile Artica that I recieved from an associate I believe it is a couple years old model number PSC23NGMA WM, serial number GA402455. It is too cold and it is freezing the vegetables when I try to set the temp higher it won't hold . Any suggestions?

SOURCE: GE Arctica Profile getting too cold, temp set to 37 actual temp is 25-35

Wow, so you dropped some money into it, eh? I would take a look at the damper door asslb(DIFFUSER). located at the very top left of your refrigerator section in back. It has a motorized door that opens and close's and it may be stuck open. More than likely it is broken and needs to be replaced. GOODLUCK!!!!

FYI: All your cold air in your refrigerator comes from your freezer!

GE Profile Arctica model # PSS25NGMD - can't control temperature

Check the little damper door next the water filter at top inside the unit. You will have to remove the covers to get it. The little plastic ends will break off and then you can not control the temperture it act like a freezer. Hope this helps Also you can get this part online.

I have a GE refrigerator with the same problem of my food freezing in the refrigerator. I spoke to an appliance part person and they sold me a temperature sensor for 20 bucks. They said it would be located in the control panel, but I took the control panel off and can't find the sensor. I'm now looking on yahoo answers to find out where the sensor is located.
