Cannot see iPod files on computer - iPod Nano 4GB Silver

My daughter has been given an iPod Nano by her cousin as he has now purchased the iPod touch. There is lots and lots of music on it that she doesn't want but is currently unable to clear the iPod as when connecting to the computer we are unable to see the files contained on the iPod. Having looked at "problems" from other users it may be that it is locked and we are now unable to get any code. Are you able to help with this problem. She is very pleased with the Nano but would love to remove Pavarotti etc!! Thank you

Go to www.google.co.uk and search for ipod windows browser.

Once you have the software installed on your PC you can plug ipod into usb lead and browse files.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I've had a similar problem in the past. The files on your iPod don't show up on your PC because your daughter put them there via another computer (possibly a Mac), and/or software other than iTunes. Your PC just can't detect them.

I used free software called Floola (http://www.floola.com/home/download_win/), to manually go into the iPod directory and deleted the unwanted files. It's very easy to do. Hope this helps.

I purchased a used ipod shuffle. i just bought a charger for it and have itunes already on my computer for my daughters ipod nano... but the computer isnt recognizing my shuffle. how do i make this work

Update the drivers for computer to recognize the player. You can go to the manufacture's website, download the drivers. Once downloaded, double-click the file that was just downloaded, then it will install the files into your computer. Then once installed, restart computer and then you should be good to go.

I LOcked My Nano And I Forgot My Password

Well I went to my computer clicked my ipod and when the folders came up you go up top to "tools and folder options" and go to the tab that says "view" and click the one that says "show hidden folders." Then click "ipod control" then "Device" and delete the file that says "_lock" or something on that line. If you any questions email me at wolffa@mhs-pa.org

Nano i pod has locked silver ipod nano it is a ipod nano 4gb

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize. Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the iPod, which will erase all music and data."

Ipod nano 4GB is WET

Greetings Goldenlily13,

As a mom who did the exact same thing to her 14 year olds Ipod, I can totally empathize. However the only solution I came up with was to purchase a new Ipod. My daughter still has her original one due to sentimental value, it was engraved. It still has not ever worked again and this happened in March.

Sorry I don't have a better solution.

There should be a slid on the top of the device. Slide it to the left, that should unlock the phone.

need to download itunes (free) from apple website, then drop computer music into it. If not the right file it will take some time to convert it. (Ipod doesnt use mp3s, uses something else).
