Question about Sharp Viewcam VL-Z1 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I have a Sharp Mini Digital Camcorder model VL-Z1 and want to transfer the videos to the computer so I can burn DVD's. The machine didn't come with a USB but with an AV/S Video cable. The S-Video side does connect into the computer but the computer does not recognize the hardware. Is it possible for me to transfer the videos with my current set-up or do I need to buy a USB connector or something else? My model is Sharp VL-Z1S. Is it the same CD? Is there any way of finding it free, because I have lost mine? If not, where could I find it? Could I download the software from the internet?
Basically what you need is a video card in your computer. Then you can connect your AV/S cable from the camcorder to the computer video card. When you buy a new video card, it usually comes with a free basic editing software which you can use to capture the video on your computer. Hope this helps.
