my browsing speed is pretty ok though not very good. i use u torrent and it it amazingly slow i have done many twaeks but to no avail please help my speed of the modem is very slow so i can't download movies so i want to check the speed of the modem

to check the speed of your modem go here :

But has a lot of ISP are capping the speed on torrents data you won't be able to go faster since it is not controled from your modem but true paquet filtering at the ISP.

To find out youre internet speed;
www.speedtest.net
(make sure you dont have any applications that use youre internet. this is to get the correct speed)
You can set a limit for what the torrent can download for.
Right click it and find out how
(i dont know what client you use)
usually if you type this in youre adress bar it will stand somewhere
10.0.0.1 or youre ip

what were you downloading , through torrents in that case the speed depends on the ratio of seeds and leeches. check your browsing speed through http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/ see whether u get the signed speed . torrent downloading speed and browsing speed are completely different
