Question about Xerox WorkCentre C2424DN All-In-One Laser Printer
Hi. I have a WorkCentre C2424 and after a long day of rains and lighting it started acting funny. The printer is giving a system error 07,007.40:77713. I have turned it off several times, I disconnected all cables and plug them again, and the Printer is still not printing or doing anything. Can anyone tell me what that error means and how to fix it? I call Xerox and they are charging me $332.00 for 30 mins of service.
That sounds like a problem with what is called the process drive motor. It is the assembly that moves the maintenance kit up and down to clean the drum.
It is located on the front right side of the machine and has a multi gear assembly to it.
It can be mistimed, there are 2 holes and an arrow on the bottom that must be aligned.
For service, to save money. you can contact a service dealer or an ASP in your area that would charge you far less than Xerox. If you don;t know who those service providers are, just let me know what your zip code is and I can look up the nearest ones for you.
