Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook

Back up cd's

I have just backed up data from my Dell Desktop computer. I would like to know how to install the cd's to my Acer Aspire 3000/5000 laptop. I received another answer that was so involved I became more confused.
Can anyone help?

You say you want to install the CD's. Just what do you mean?
If you have backed up your data, then it's just a matter of copying the date to your other computer. If you are trying to copy the operating system and programs, that's another issue entirely.

Which are you trying to do?

To restore to a different computer a lot of times you have to use the same software or program you used to back up with. Also note that you can not transfer programs from one computer to another, just data i.e. photos, music, documents.

I turn on my acer aspire one zg5 .and when it boot to a point it will stop automatically and show me this A PROBLEM IS PREVENTING WINDOWS FROM ACCURATELY CHECKING THE LICENSE FOR THIS COMPUTER.ERROR...

sounds like a pirated copy of windows was installed on your computer but not necessarily. the only restore option that will work, if this is the case, is the factory restore option that came w/the computer...assuming it's still there...but this will erase all your data. if this is ok w/you then just text me back an i will look up the procedure in a moment but if the back up sector was erased it wont work either and you will be forced to install the operating system again. hope this helps and sorry for your trouble

Im missing the image.dll for acer aspire one

The best solution when you are dealing with this kind of problem is to reformat your computer. Formatting your computer will erase the entire data, files, documents and etc that saved on your hard disk drive. So before doing so, you must back up your data or files first in case you have important files. After you back up, you can format your computer but you must have the cd/dvd driver of your acer aspire one pc notebook but if you don't have it you can still download on their official website www.acer.com and search your model of your computer and select the appropriate operating system or compatible with your operating system.

Here is the video tutorial in case you are using windows xp as your operating system! Yet this is a desktop computer but this can still apply the tutorial on laptop or notebook.

And this is the video tutorial for windows 7

I want to downgrade ACER ASPIRE M5641 desktop form vista to XP. What steps to follow? Also I have only the backup CD which I made right after the purchase , originally installed with VISTA. Understand it...

You'll have to purchase the XP software, set your computer to boot from cd (in the cmos settings), put the disk in the cd and restart you computer. When the screen comes up to "...hit any key to boot from cd" hit any key. The system will boot to the XP cd and will allow you to delete the old partition, reformat your drive, and install XP. Next go to www.acer.com and download your drivers. Finally install your programs and data on to your hard drive. Have fun!

NOTE: Make absolutely sure that you backup the programs and data that you want to keep before starting the XP install!

Want to upgrade my acer aspire t180 to windows 7

Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. These are on the cover of the Windows 7 box. If your computer meets the requirements, then back up all of your data. Make sure you have the original disks for any programs you may want to re-install. Make sure you are connected to the internet. (You can still install without being conected to the internet, you just won't be able to get the updates while installing.) Now, go ahead and put the cd in the cd rom drive and the installation should start on its own. If it does not, then click on your start button, click on my computer, open the installation disc on your drive and double-click on the setup.exe program. On the Install Windows screen click on install now. If you are running XP select Custom and if you are running Vista select upgrade so that you won't have to restore your data or re-install your programs. It's a pretty straight forward process. The main problems arise from the meeting the minimul system requirements. good luck!

Install back up cd's

Data is just data.

If your laptop is working correctly, then just insert the CD, and copy files from the CD onto the hard-drive.

If you created "system-restore" CDs, they can be used only to "restore" the factory-setup on the SAME computer, not a different computer, i.e., your laptop.

Having problem installing Windows XP on My Acer Aspire T650 Computer

Before you did the install did you make sure that you set your CMOS setting to check for a cd disk first before booting straight to the hard drive? When you do an install, you must make sure that the computer knows to look for a bootable disk otherwise it will look for an operating system to boot to first. If this is the problem, after you have installed your operating system you must go back and reset your CMOS settings to look for a hard drive or operating system. Hope this help and if it doesn't let me know for further assistance.

you can downloads any acer driver from acer.com just download and install all you find for your model... the problem might be if you dont know how... many drivers just uncompress the installing data to a folder usually in a TEMP folder or a ACER folder in this case... just read what you are doing and that will be all.

here is a link for the model you posted here
http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acerdrivers/bin/drivers.html?CFID=188401&CFTOKEN=30397319

its very easy! Good Luck
