You only have 10 attepmts to enter the 16 digit PUK code which can be obtained from your network provider, either from website or contacting customer services. After the PUK has been entered wrong 10 times the PUK becomes blocked and SIM is dead.

If you contact your network provider and explain they will send you a new one and transfer your number to it. You will just have to wait a while on delivery.

Tell me idea puk code e male addres

puk code appears when you enter the pin number wrongly for three times..
All you have to do is contact your service provider of your sim card and tell them about your problem..
They will ask you few questions related to your problem and sim card.. Answer those with correct information and they will give you a code to unlock your mobile..
Please note that if you enter the puk code wrongly for ten times then your sim card will be rejected and you will need to buy a new sim..
Please i request you to vote me on fixya if i am helpful to you..

Well i went on my phone and typed in my pin then it came up with puk and i have no idea what a puk is or what the code is please help x

Few people use PIN locking system to lock their phone to avoid un-authorised access. Though this is a good option. Three wrong entry of PIN code will result in SIM blocking. Once SIM gets blocked, phone starts asking PUK code to enter. If you again enter wrong code for three times, SIM gets completely blocked. You have to walk into your service provider outlet to get a replacement SIM card.

PUK code is a SIM specific code assigned by your service provider. No way you can guess & enter it. So, when it asks for the PUK code, don't do anything, get the PUK code from your service provider(Of which company your sim is).
Just call cutomer care and ask your pin. He will ask you the name of sim holder and sim no printed over the sim, be ready with this data before calling cutomer care.

Sayin PIN is blocked and have to enter PUK code

Call the Customer Care of your Network Operator (sim card provider), they will tell your the code. There's no other way or no means to get the code except from the Service Operator. They might ask your few questions related to the Sim Card, like your name or your address, tell them promptly and they will give you the puk code for your sim card. It's also important to note down the Sim Card Number (number written on the sim card) if in case they ask you the sim number. You will also be assisted on how to disable the security settings.

Note: if you keep entering random/unknown numbers/codes, the sim card will be locked and will be rejected. It'll not be usable anymore.
Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I dont know my PUK number & my pin number & when i called someone the voice was not clear & i had to switch off the mobile & when i switched it on i had to tell the puk & the pin...

if you have tried guessing the puk code wrong too many times ( you should have called the service provider ) then you may have to get a new sim card. call your service provider and ask for the puk code if the phone still lets you enter the puk, if you are not given a change to enter a puk or you can't, then you need a new sim card.
Basically just call your service provider / carrier

SIM CARD REJECTED

Hi,

Actually its not security code..Its SIM PIN NUMBER..

PIN CODE is SIM dependent and not phone dependent

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUK if PIN is blocked...

if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM

Now since the SIM is rejected, you have buy new SIM requesting that your SIM is rejected from the operator

Nokia E61i - SIM Rejcted & asking for PUK Code

If you log onto your companys website under your account and go to the option that says devices you can get the puk code- If you enter in too many numbers it will permanently block your sim card and you will have to buy a new sim card from your cell phone company- they are about $20

My sim card is rejected as i have entered wrong pin code please help me it was also asking for puck code but i have entered imaginary no.

Hi,

If u have entered a wrong PUK no. less than 10 times, then u can contact customer care and get the PUK unblocking code (its free). Remember each sim card has a different unblocking no.

If you have entered wrong PUK no. 10 times or more, then this SIM card is blocked and will have to be replaced by a new one. You need to visit any airtel franchisee, purchase a new sim, and they will delete your old sim card details and add the details of new sim card into their system. A new sim probably costs around 245/- (i think, though don't remember when i purchased it last). You need to carry old sim card + ID proof + any airtel bill (if postpaid, may get required).

If your connection had been a Postpaid with regular payment history, I would have applied a different approach

Thanks,
