I have the cd-rw880. When it works, it works fine. Lately, it's been clicking and refusing to open to eject a disc. I've tried turning it off to reset, but, will little success.

HI, the gear track is stripped and the load motor is stuck between the good section of the track and the bad section of the track. you will need to replace the loading dock in your unit. this will fix this issue.

I have dell studio and lately the CD/DVD drive continously ejects any CD/DVD i slot in. it also makes a clicking noise! help!

This could be a hardware related or a driver related problem. Try to get the Original driver once again installed, and if that doesnt work then give the cd\dvd for a repair. Good Luck

My unit will not record cd-rw audio discs. Works fine on cd-r's. Yes, I'm using Fuji AUDIO cd-rw's. According to the manual they should work. Any ideas?

cd-rw is an unprotected format.. I doubt it WILL copy..

the cd-r is seen as a normal cd now.. the "ReWritable" isn't meant for "pirating" ;)

I am 99% certain that it will only work with 'audio' discs. This is the case with my Philips CDR-796 and as far as I am aware applies to all consumer CD recorders.

Hope this helps
