Lenovo J115 with new Gigabye motherboard - case fan set up

I have just had to replace my motherboard in my Lenovo J115 7387-42M with a new Gigabyte board. I need to know the pin layout for the case fan and the front panel (audio and USB) for the old board (it has L-NC51M on it),
I have searched all of the Lenovo site without success.
Are things like front panel USB and audio connectors standard - or is this board a Lenovo special?
Thanks in advance

Lenovo's web-site: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/homeLenovo.do
should have the information.

What connectors are leading from the front-panel?
One "clump" of wires and one connector, or several separate connectors?

I have a Lenovo 3000I have a Lenovo 3000 J115 7387-A32, I replaced the AMD athlon 64x2 Dual-Core 3600+ with a AMD Athlon X2 5000+ 3200mhz Scoket AM2+ CPU, when I turn on the computer the fan in the power...

I think the first thing to do is go back to the cpu Fan and check the plug and make sure you are on the pins as should be make sure that there isn't any Bent pins . Continue on to the next fan in question. If not then I would not continue Running this machine Until I had the fan problem fixed. It doesn't take long to mess things up. I am surprised that it will run . I would like to have faith in the hardware monitor to propely shut it down.then I would go to the power source Plug on the motherBoard . Check that it is connected good and try it for a short run on then off to make sure that the fans are running like they are supposed to.

It wont turn on at all i just put it in a new case

Did you check that everything was okay before closing the case, (no loose screws). Try your old power supply no the motherboard in the new case. If that works than try the new power supply in that case. Could be a difective unit.

Is there a plug in on the board for a SATA input. So I can install another hard drive.

Do these specs sound right?

The Lenovo 3000 J115 series of computers does not come with a video card but with the NVIDIA GF 6100 Integrated Graphics which is plenty to run the Windows Vista operating system. You can also expand the graphics capabilities by adding a video card in the available PCI Express video card slot.

The motherboard, Lenovo Model L-NC51M, which comes with this series of computers, has two memory stick slots, one PCI express x1 slot, one PCI express x16 slot and two PCI slots. The 3000 J115 models come standard with Windows Vista Home Basic Operating System, 512 gigabytes memory, an 80 gigabyte serial ATA hard drive, Integrated Gigabit Ethernet and a 16X DVD optical drive.

If so, there should be more sata ports on the motherboard.

This what sata ports look like:

You also need a sata power cord or Molex to Sata power adapter:

Hope this helps you some.

Need manual for l-nc51m motherboard

You did not mention which ThinkCentre model you are using, but I know that the Lenovo 3000 J115 is using this motherboard. Look at the hardware manual from Lenovo (link) and see if that is what you are looking for.

You can also try to locate it yourself (link)

If this is not the right one for you, just come back here and leave a comment with more details about your computer - I'm happy to help.

Computer powers off and must be unplugged from wall before it will power up again

Please check your processors temperature (h/w monitor, 'Hardware Monitor') in the bios settings, and refer to your mobo manual, sounds like an overheating problem. Try running your pc with the side off, for a few days see if it occurs again, check fans for being clogged up with dust, if overheating is the problem, check ide cables are'nt blocking air flow and fit a case fan, very cheap to buy
