Question about Intel Dialogic MSI 240SC Modem
Seems we got struck by a power surge over the holiday weekend and lost a smart-jack. No problem we thought, quickly fixed by replacing the dead card with a new.
Seems however, that wasn't the only thing taken out by the surge. The Dialogic MSI 240/SC Global card won't supply power to the agents phones anymore. We already replaced the card's external power supply to no avail.
The DCM shows the card 'ALL GREEN', but all 24 Plantronic T10 phones refuse to turn on; the best I can get is a muted flashing light on some of the phones, but no real power or tone on any.
I'm obviously looking at replacing the card, but was wondering if there are any other diagnostics or solutions that other vets may be aware of that I have overlooked, or to be blunt, am just ignorant of...
Please and thank you.
After checking the voltage on the circuit and plugging in the external PSU's to different circuits to no avail, we ordered a new card from the manufacturer and once installed, 'voila! power to the phones...
gotta love the lightning capital of the world! geez. lol
