IN regards to your problem of how to hook up your receiver you have know how many components your hooking up to it and whether or not you are using standard analog(red & white), or you are using digital (optical, coaxial or HDMI). Next you need to decide if you are going to use your receiver for all your video picture. If so you just match video input with your audio inputs plugs on the back of the receiver. Then monitor out of receiver to TV.In regards to hooking up you computer to your stereo you need to take audio out of your computer(where speakers are currently plugged in) and plug that into an open slot on your receiver youll need an audio cable that has a headphone plug to RCA ends I picked video 3 on mine because I have nothing plugged in there and just ran monitor out of my computer to the TV.

Can you hook up a pyramid graphic equalizer 8600 to a Pioneer receiver audio video multi-channel vsx - D 912

The ideal way to do it is to hook up the preamp outputs of receiver directly to equalizer and the equalizer outputs to the amp inputs on receiver. Then unit will work with all sources.

I am trying to hook up my Pioneer vsx-455 to a LG LED LCD TV. I am not sure on how to do this and I can not find a manual anywhere. Can you help me?

your reciever does not have hdmi, so the audio is not going to be true DD+ or DTS for broadcast tv.

if your dvd/blue ray player has digital optical spdif, this can be used to transfer the encoded DD+/DTS digital audio.

the besat way to run your tv audio through the reciever is to hook up the dvd/blue ray player up with (perferrably) digital optical spdif, composite spdif or (least favorably) through the stereo stereo analog inputs on the reciever for "dvd" audio in and hook the video from the dvd/blue ray up to the corresponding "dvd" video component input on the reciever.

this way is only going to get your dvd/blue ray sound, next you need to hook up your cable box to the reciever so that you can get broadcast tv sound. hook up the cable box audio to the "tv" stereo analog audio ins, and hook the video to the corresponding "tv" video component inputs.

the component video inputs have separate jacks for red, green and blue ( labeled "Y" "Pb" and "Pr") and are capable of carrying a 1080p full hd signal. use the component video outputs on the reciever to output the video signal to a component video input on the tv, using the receiver's input selector to change the video source.

Hooking up my Sony HD Tv

Couple of items come to mind.
In the menu of the receiver, is there a way to choose video and RGB?
Set the receiver to SAT
Connect the HD Cable Box to SAT
Check the TV is on Monitor RGB.
Check the input being used by the monitor RGB cables is selected on the TV.
Have a picture? NO, receiver has issues.
Yes? Do this with each input to confirm they work.
You can reset the whole receiver to factory by holding the tone button down and holding the standby button for three seconds. (This clears your speaker setups, too.)

Can you simplify hook up , trying to hook up with manual and more difficult understanding, want to conect to TV only if possible

The first thing you want to do is run a standard RCA cable from the reciever's Monitor Out to one of the TV's Video In ports so you can see the On Screen Displays from the receiver.

Not knowing what your TV has for connectors: For minimal stereo / low-fi video: If your TV has RCA jacks for L and R audio, run them to AUX In; run the TV's Video Out to the receiver's standard Video 1 In . If you have a cable box, you could run its corresponding cables to the same places for TV viewing.

If your cable box has digital audio outputs, use them instead (best sound, multi-channel) - connect to one of the Digital In's that matches the type and assign it to TV or Cable. Use the Component Video from the cable box, if available.

I have a audio/video multi-channel receiver VSX-D810S digital processor, probably about 7 years old. How do I hook up my ipod to play music out speakers in my home, same as cd's?

Check Radio Shack, thay make an adaptor with a white and red audio plug that can connect to an input on the receiver (AUX) the other end goes into the headphone jack on the iPOD.

How to hook the thing up and can it be hooked to a home computer

You can download the manual from Pioneer at this page. Just click the "owner's manual" link. There are diagrams and hookup information in the manual.

It is possible to connect your computer. You can run an audio cable from the line out jack (the one that would normally connect to a set of computer speakers) and connect it to an available input on the receiver (such as the auxiliary or CD inputs). You would need to pick up an adapter or cable to provide the right connections at both ends. The computer will normally need a stereo mini-phone plug, and the input at the receiver is RCA plugs.

Im trying to hook my pioneer vsx-d409 multi channel receiver to work with my new3 philips hdtv. it would not work please help

What isn't it doing - audio, video, both? What model is the TV. How are you trying to do it. Do you have the manual? The simplest hookup is to just have the a single RCA cable from "TO TV Monitor" to a Video In on the TV. Modifications may be required depending on what else you have for video sources and how they're attached.

Go here for it. Register and search for things, like vsx-d409...
