I have created a new Facebook account. I tried to go back in to edit my profile but it won't allow me. Please help.

You must contact FB customer support on this, there is nothing this website can do to assist with this.

Usually to recover your old FB page you just use the login details of your old FB account to login

Thats odd that Facebook let you create a new account with your old login info. It probably deleted your old profile.

My Facebook account disappeared. I tried to retrieve it but a new one was created instead. I need my old account with friends and everything.

can any friends still see the old account? If so you logged in using the wrong credentials and created a new account in error.

Point your web browser at http://www.facebook.com

If another account comes up, log out of it by clicking the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."

If you then still can't log in to your account, click the "Forgot your password?" link located just below the password box on the login page.

If you're getting an error message, what does it say?

When you deactivate your old account, do not go in to check at all as it takes 93 days for facebook to remove the account completely

Try to reset your account here:

https://www.facebook.com/recover.php

You have to reset the old one first before you can disable it. Hope this will help you.

1. Dont worry! , its a temporary problem. First of all clear your browsing data, empty cache etc. Then open facebook and click on "Forgot your password?". Option will come to reset your password. Enter your email and you will receive a mail with a link to reset your password.
2. If you are still having problem log in, then you can choose any option from here
