004-332 error plus carousel is out of whack

Dell 3100cn 004-332 error reseated all toners still get error also the carousel is misaligned everytime on start up.

Contacted dell tech support. noticed that the rotator frame was slightly bent. tech told me that the printer had to be replaced since they do not offer parts for this.

HOW DO I FIX THE ERROR 004-332...???


1. Reseat and clean the 4 toner cartridges and verify the orange plastic covers have been removed.
2. Reseat the toner cartridge carousel position. By doing the following:
Lift the handle of the first available toner cartridge or toner cartridge attempting to be installed and remove the toner cartridge.
Close the front cover. Power off the printer. Power on the printer.
An LCD message Insert <toner color> Toner appears. Open the front cover. To reinstall the toner cartridge, align the arrows on the cartridge with the corresponding arrows on the printer, guide the cartridge in until it snaps into place, and then push down the right lever to lock the cartridge in place. Close the front cover. The toner cartridge carousel rotates to the correct toner position.
3. Verify the developer rotor frame is not bent. If it is bent then the printer should be replaced, it would not be cost effective to replace the frame.
4. If it is not bent. Open the front door, try to rotate the carosel. It should NOT rotate. If the rotation is rigid and feels broken, then the printer should be replaced. If it rotates smoothly, the developer latch should be replaced. If the carosel does not rotate but still gives the error the rotor control board should be replaced.

We are getting error code 004-332 Restart Printer on our Dell 3100cn printer. We have tried unplugging and restarting print spooler but it still come up witht message when we try to print

This error code on Dell 3100CN occurs when toner cartridges are not seated properly and/or are not properly locked in. Turn off the printer and unplug it. Now, you need to open the front door and pull out the drum. Try moving the carousel and check if it moves freely. While moving the carousel back and forth try adjusting the cartridges. try to unlock the cartridges and lock them again.

Now turn off the printer and turn it on after 1-2 min.s.

I'm looking for a list of error codes for a Dell 3100cn printer. Anyone know where I can download? When powering up the printer it has an error 004-321 and looking to see what's wrong.


According to Dell (Xerox)..."This is a sensor timing issue normal caused by the toner carousel not turning. Have you recently installed any toners? It might be worthwhile taking them out and reinserting them. If not, it will need a service."

I AM CHANGING THE BLACK TONER CARTRIDGE ON A DELL 3100CN WITH THE ORIGINAL DELL TONER CARTRIDGE AND I GET AN "ID ERROR" MESSAGE


Either the "toner cartridge sensor" N4445 isn't reading the chip in the toner,

or an MCU board P5281 or EEPROM is defective

How do I remove all the Dell 3100cn toner cartridges


First open the top door, pulling out the drum. Leave the door open.Then open the front door.
Then close it slowly. While doing this, move the carousel. The carrousel is free while the
door closed and locked while it open.

Black ink coming out of dell 3100cn from cartridge


Reseat the black toner. It's most likely not in all the way. I'm willing to bet there is black toner everywhere inside the printer....

How do you change the magenta, yellow and black toners on the dell 3100cn


The toner carousel must rotate, so that you get the slot for the other toners in front of you.

Error Code 004-332


I tried this solution but wasn't quite sure how it's possible.
"Pull out the drum. Open the front door. Then close back this door then at the same time, move
the carousel around back or forth. The carousel now is able to be free to rotate. During rotating
you try to pull out the catridge. If it is locked, then adjust it to the position to be free."

Instead i pulled out the drum unit and pushed down with a bit of force on the toner carousel. I heard the gears grind which didn't sound real pleasant but the error went away. Instead I received an error message this time to remove and reseat the Cyan toner. Tried this multiple times w/o luck so i replaced the Cyan toner and it freed it up. Now I'm getting a paper jam message but there is no jam. Stuck again but making progress...
