Please mention what kind of the connection is between the router and the computer.
Click on start and click on run Type cmd and click ok.
Then you will get a black window, there type in ipconfig and press enter.

If you get a ipaddress that starts with 192.168
then your computer should be communicating with the router.
Then in the same black window type ping yahoo.com check whether you get 4 replies and loss 100% if it is so then the connection is fine.
if unable get 4 replies and loss100% then it should be the problem with the DNS

Before confirming that try to ping the default gateway that you get when you type ipconfig and enter.there should be a space between ping and the defaultgateway or the yahoo.com.

If you get 4 replies and 0% loss then the router is communicating so click on start and click on control panel open network connections. if it is the wirless then right click on the wireless network connection and click on the properties. if it is the wired connection then right click on the local area connection and click on the properties. There click on internet protocol TCP/ip in the box and click on properties. In the new window check whether the option"obtain ipaddress automatically" is checked. if it is not checked then check that. Below that check the option which says "use the following DNS server" in primary type 4.2.2.1 and in secondary type 4.2.2.2 and then click ok now try to browse.

I am unable to access my blitzz bwp611 router. I have tried 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.0.1 to no avail. How can I gain access to this router?

The router should be accessible from the Default Gateway IP Address of your network. Examples I have found are like this:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Blitzz/BWA611/Command_and_Conquer_Red_Alert_Counterstrike.htm
you can check you default gateway by opening a command window (Start CMD, right click CMD on the Menu for Vista/7, Start, run cmd for XP) on the command line type IPCONFIG
This will give you your IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway IP address. Type the Default Gateway IP address in to you address line of the browser, you should get a sign in prompt. Unless you changed the default settings, the username and password should be left blank. That should give you access.

I forgot my pasword for wireless router. i used reset button on blitzz, got new IP and typed new IP into internet address line and got an error message.

admin is both the default username and password for this device. When you used the reset button, you erased your credentials and it went back to the default settings.

You want to secure the wireless network.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router with the cable.
Check the IP address on the computer. Open the router set up page.
Once you open the set up page, you will find the option to make it secured

I have a Netwave Base G4 wireless router w/ 4- port switch, trying to network two computers via cable modem using local ports, modem and router not communicating

You need to change the LAN IP address of your router. Open the router's admin through http://192.168.1.1 and look for router's IP address or Local IP Address. Change it to 192.168.10.1 and save the settings. Reboot the router after that. If you are on cable internet , you need to do MAC Cloning. Access the router's admin page and look for MAC Clone settings. Enable and clone the PC's Mac Address. Save the settings and power cycle the router and the modem after that.

Router W/o cd or manual how to get to work with pc.

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.1.254. Then hit "ENTER".

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default both the username and password are blank. Click the Ok button to log in to your router. That should get you in, but if you get kicked out, because of wrong username or password. On the back of the router should have reset switch or button in a small hole. Press and hold that for about a minute. Should reset to factory default. Sorry forgot to say that you will need to use a paper clip to fit into reset switch. The big paper clip is the best and it needs to be straighten a little.

Blitzz is out of business. There are a couple driver sites out there (driverguide.com) who may have software and/or documentation to help you.

Blitzz router

get into the routers settings and check that DHCP is enabled to allocate ip addresses automatically and that your computers network cards tcp/ip properties are set to obtain ip address automatically. When you connected the modem directly your ip address has probably changed.
