I convert the file system of my sansa e250 to FAT32 and now it says release 6MB space even though no songs is there to play..not sure how to resolve it or revert back it now. -Rohit

Hook it up to your pc again via the usb cable and format it again, choosing NTFS file system. If you are running Windows XP you might only have option for FAT32. If you do reformat in FAT32 and it still doesn't work, you may need to download a drive management utility that can format a removalable drive in either NTFS or FAT32. If all else fails, you may need to download and install a flashing utility from the manufacturers website to revert the player back to factory condition.

I FORMAT MY MP3 PLAYER BY NTFS FORMAT THEN THIS NOT WORK TOTALLY

Hi,

Most MP3 players use the FAT or FAT32 filesystem for their storage. I don't know of any that support NTFS.

You should reformat it to FAT and it should work again.

Please let me know if this works and rate my answer if it has helped you.

Kind regards,

Chris

My ipod is showing file system error

Hi

File system error can appear due to unplugging the MP3 player without disconnecting it. It may have happened due to formatting it with a different file format or due to memory issue with the player. Please reformat your MP3/MP4 player. Connect it to the computer, go to My computer-> right click on the mp3/mp4 player after it is displayed-> select format-> Format it as FAT32 File system. Formatting the MP3/MP4 player will delete all the songs/data from the player. So, backup all data before formatting it. Hope this helps...

Philips gogear SA 1356/97... i want to format it.. plz help

Try using Windows Disk Manager.
Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management
In the Tree-List on the right, you want Storage -> Disk Management if you can't see the tree-list select the appropriate button on the toolbar, you should be looking at something like this: http://attachments.techguy.org/attachments/129148d1206573004/disk-manager.jpg
Select your 'volume' from the list in the main part of the window and right-click. Somewhere in the menu it should say 'Format'. Select this and move through the stages.
(When asked use FAT or FAT32, not repeat not NTFS. NTFS is for Windows hard-drives only)

Hi! When you repaired your mp3 player you formatted it with ntfs file system but your player needs fat32 file system. Don't be upset just plug in your mp3 player again with your PC and reformat it by changing the file system to FAT 32. Hope this helps.

File System Error

Try formatting it using FAT32 or NTFS file system. I formatted my SA2840 and changed the file system from FAT32 to NTFS (what was I thinking!) and the ending of the story was pretty much the same.
