Trying to find an exploded image of this tumble dryer so that i can order the relevant part, and hopefully fit it myself. I have seen a picture of the rear bearing on the internet, but am not sure if its what i require. Can anyone tell me the how to fit this part?

You can get another copy of the user guide that came with dryer by recording your model number and surfing over to:

and following directions.

But, it won't help you with the bearing replacement.

This chap has a nice washer help site and I see he is starting a dryer help site:

There is another article on FixYa but without model numbers it probably only applies in general terms:

This site had parts and looked pretty comprehensive:

I was rather surprised to find a general lack of do-it-yourself information like we have in the colonies. For example, these chaps had lots of links to Indesit tumble dryer parts (this model picked at random):,52690:79034

but not a single link to any DIY information. Very curious for a shop that wants to sell parts to DIYers!

There is also an Indesit parts specialist:

But the most useful link I found was on eBay. This chap might just answer your question if you put it to him directly (and it would hurt to get the parts from him either ;-)

his store:

this might work for you:

Anyhow, good luck.

Whirlpool tumble dryer making a loud noise

the dryers drum that spins around is driven by a belt . A belt tensioner is attached to provide a secure fit when turning. The tensioner has a idler pully which has a bearing in it. When worn the bearing squeaks or wears out causing this noise you have. Sears sells the belt and idler pulley as a set to retify this situation you have. Instructions come with these kits

Help! My indesit IS60V tumble dryer is banging and dancing

Have the rear bearing and shaft checked. Had same problem briefly until it stopped all together. When I looked at it, I found that the drum rear shaft had worn through the bearing and had been riding on the rear panel. This caused the rear panel, being thin to wear through the shaft until it sheared. This could be repaired by replacing the bearing and rear shaft for around £30 but in my case I'll need to the check the motor isn't burnt out too.

My indesit is60v tumble dryer is clunking when it spinning and sounds like it got something stuck in it scrapping inside

More likely to be worn rear bearing, and or drum shaft,or possibly badly worn drum belt
To access the inside of the dryer, remove top cver and right hand side pane llooking from the front.

My hotpoint cdt00 tumble dryer makes a loud banging noise on each rotation what is causing this

It is probably a worn rear drum bearing, remove cover of drum shaft, and examine the drum shaft for wear.

Hi, My Hotpoint CTD00 Condenser Tumble dryer makes a thudding sound with every revolution, sometimes it sounds like a pair of trainers are in there! What could be the problem?

Could be a worn drive belt, or more likely to be a worn rear drum bearing, common prob with dryers, you need to remove top cover, and look for anything obvious.

Excessive noise when tumble drying

Most likely the front drum supports (either rollers or slides) are worn out, forcing the drum to slide over an uneven surface. If the drum is supported in the rear on rollers, these could also be the problem. Rear axle/bearing mounted mechanisms can also cause this problem.

Less likely is a worn belt or worn idler pulley bearing. All these components can be replaced by a reasonably skilled homeowner, although the dryer will have to be disassembled to do so.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
