Question about Craftsman 42 in. Deck 19.5hp Lawn Tractor
I had to change the tire on my 4 yr old riding mower and after I had this done the mower wouldn't go into gear. It is NOT hydrostatic and the mower worked fine before the tire change. I jacked up the back of the mower and the wheels did turn while in gear but I could stop them with my hand. I checked the drive belt and it seems fine. Can you help me please?
There is a square key about 2 " long that fits in the slot on the axle and wheel and locks them together.. You probably didn't see it when putting tire back on and knocked it out. If you go back where you removed tire, you'll find it laying on the ground.
