Question about Hotpoint Ultima WF860 Front Load Washer

Will complete wash/rinse cycle, start spin and pump out but not speed up

Hi, Although I am in the UK (Beeston, near Nottingham - Robin Hood country), I have been well impressed by the answers provided by the forum and hope you can help with my washing machine problem. My washing machine (Hotpoint Ultima 1400 - WM76 - front loader, digital display, 8 years old) , not WF860, will go thru the wash and rinse cycle but will not spin; it starts on the spin cycle (pumps out OK and rotates slowly to even the load), then, when it is supposed to increase speed, it switches off and the error message 'info: uneven load' comes up. If I run the spin cycle with an empty drum, it goes thru the full spin speed range '800, 1200 & 1400'. But even with just 4 shirts in, the 'uneven load' message appears; sometimes I get the F31 error message. I fitted new brushes about 2 months ago (screw/bolt on type) when the F30 error message came up; one was worn more than the other but needed changing (they last about 2 years). I have checked the sump filter, the pump and the waste (stand) pipe; all are clear. I tried to remove the drum shock absorbers (legs?) but couldn't compress them enough to clear the mountings, so there is plenty of spring power but I am not sure if they are damping out any heavy vibrations; these were replaced (along with the drum {inner and outer}), and motor about 4 years ago when the outer drum broke. Having eliminated all of the usual suspects, I call upon the FixYa experts to save my sanity (and my wallet). Thanks in advance for any help forthcoming; Steve

    Hi JMP69,

Thanks for the response but it is on a full load that the problem occurs, the symptoms I listed were for a full load not half load or empty

    Regards,
    Steve

LG Tromm Steam Washer Cycle is complete and the stuff is so wet that they have to wrung by hand to even put they on a clothes line. Can washer be put on spin only? How?

call a technician as it indicates that the cycle from rinse, spin is not progressing to spin only
rinse, spin is a low speed spin to facilitate the rinse and to balance out the clothes ready for the fast speed spin cycle

Oko 72630. Why is it stuck on rinse cycle?

Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)

According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.

Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.
1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate.
2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.

I have a top load washer model LSR 8433 KQ0 the machine will not spin but agitates, rinses, drains fine but when it clicks to the spin cycle it just pumps out any water and does not spin. Would this b

Either the belt broke or the hood switch is not working. Sometimes it could be the contacts in the main control knob but if everything else is working correctly, then check the belt, and the hood switch first.

Fisher and Paykel 7.5 washing machine keeps powering off during rinse and spin cycles

The pump has a thermal safety cut out on it.
If the pump gets too hot it cut out.
Just put a new pump in and your all going again.

Wont adavace after wash cycle like its stuck replying back

Hi just read your posting. The problem appears to be your drain pump is either blocked or faulty. If you would like I can guide you throe the removal of the pump. The reason it does not reach full spin speed is there is still water under the bowl slowing it down.It is impossible to drain the machine by hand completely. Please reply If you require extra help on the pump removal.

F02/Sud error message fabric softner will not dispense

The pressure switch is sensing that there is still water in the unit,it sits at the top of machine under the top cover,it is round and usually red in color remove the hose/tube from it and blow through it to make sure it is clear, you can also remove the switch itself and lightly blow into it you will hear a couple of clicks put it back together and give it a shot..

Top loader Speed Queen takes long time to complete one wash.

sounds like your belt is worn or the tension spring too tight on belt the vee part of the belt should not be rubber it should look like a material type coating to let it slip until it gets up to full speed (It,s Meant to slip) If it,s worn the rubber in the belt will grip too much.Hope this helps.Cheers.
