Tell us how far you've got through the installation; all plugged in according to the manual? Software installed without an issue? Are there error messages? Computer and scanner turned on?

I right click on the scanned document to get the "picture toolbar"/select "picture control"/uncheck "automatic" and check "black & white"/print. Then can scan

How do i scan to my email? I have a brother product MFC-290c all in one with fax and i am trying ro scan to a picture to my email

just scan it using the command from the computer ..after that you will find the job into the manager folder..of the scanner..from there you can send it directly ..or edit a little ..and copy into computer and attach to the email..or ..use the feature from the scanner's program to send it ..
make sure you set to scan picture cause scanners have a wizard that you can set to scan image (picture Jpeg ....) or PDF ..document ..

Trying to scan a picture

if your using the "scan" button on the panel of the computer it wont work, in order for the button to work you need to install the software.

if your trying to scan from the pc and you cant scan, try these:
1. right click on the solution center icon on your desktop
2. go to properties
3. click on open file location
4. search for hpscnvw.exe
5. right click on that application then send to desktop
6. now when it is on your desktop, use and click on that icon everytime you want to scan

How do I scann a document/picture and where does it go once I scan

Usually any scanned document etc will go to a folder in documents & settings so have a look there, another way is to scan and save it as a special name, or simply remeber the default name, and then do a search for that file and when you find it, THATs where they go :)

Usually when ya scan it should ask ya where to save?
