No FM reception on CMT-ED1 Sony shelf system

- Hello, I've got the AM antenna that was provided. There is a socket for an FM coax cable. Shouldn't I still be able to get FM without a dedicated aerial?

- I've taken one of those long plastic coated aerials off another system. It is like a 'T' with a very long leg. Strangely, it doesn't fit into the coax on the back of the Sony system. It's a gender problem I think, but it seems strange that the coax socket on the back of the Sony is different to the one on the back of the other system. The Sony socket doesn't have a rod or tube inside it.

- Neither the end of the aerial, nor the Sony socket is threaded. Is there anything here that is suitable:

- Charlie, thanks for that. I've found similar from a UK radio shop, I'll try and get one tomorrow. I've never seen such a thing before. I'm puzzled why the aerial just doesn't plug in.
