First thing you want to do is make sure that the router isn't blocking the 360's MAC address, the best way to do this is to open up your internet browser and type 192.168.2.1 into the address bar which will bring up the Belkin router settings and then check any blocked access attempts in the wireless security section. If it isn't blocking it then you can change the port options in one of the other wireless options on the settings page.

My son cannot access the internet on his xbox one through my Belkin router

The network settings on the Xbox One are on this page.

http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/networking/network-settings

You must be able to select the Access Point (Belkin Router) and put in the password.
You should be able to see the connection is live or not from the same page on the Xbox.

On some routers you also have to make special instructions to allow the Xbox to have Internet ports put through to the Xbox one.

Im trying to connect to live and I connected to the internet but not xbox live

Xbox live requires some ports to be open on your router. Make sure the following ports are forwarded through your internet router to the IP address of the Xbox.
On Xbox's site below they have some instructions for the most common router manufacturers.

From the Xbox website: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/troubleshoot/kb/xbox-kb.aspx?kbid=908874
Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:
  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)
Note If you cannot chat with someone using Video Kinect, you might need to open port 1863 (UDP and TCP).

I use this router to get internet for live on 2 xbox 360s, it works just fine when i connect a single xbox but when i try to connect to the 2nd one has alot of trouble connecting (i do eventually get the...

Could be a few different problems. One is your internet connection speed. If its below 5Ms I would say you are blowing out your bandwidth and it your ISP can't keep up, thus causing a slow connection or even some time-outs. If you are at or above 5M, check what ports you have your connections in. Some hubs are set specifically to take the ISP in a certain port and have it looped through another port. I'd start there.

I have a belkin n modem router and it keeps kicking the xbox off line. is it the xbox live or my new router

it is the problem with router....the firewall built-in in the router will not allow certain gaming devices to go online...for this purpose you need to forward certain ports in the belkin router...for the list of port numbers to be forwarded, contact xbox vendor....once you got those port numbers, you can call 24x7 toll free belkin tech support(1800-2-235546)(1800-2-belkin) and ask them to assist u to forward ports... or you can can connect a computer to one of the wired ports(1 to 4) and open internet explorer and type 192.168.2.1 in address bar and hit "enter key". you ll see belkin router setup page...on the left side you ll find "virtual servers"...open that link(if it asks password, leave it blank and click submit) fill the IP address of your xbox in that form and type the port numbers and select appropriate (tcp/udp)... also click on"firewall" in left and disable it.... also click on DMZ in left and type your xbox ip address there and enable it... thats it.... you are done with that...

I have a Cayman 3347w wireless router and I am trying to use one of the wired slots to connect my xbox 360 to the internet. the xbox will not connect. is this router xbox compatable?

Please try the following steps below;

To make a router connection to Xbox LIVE:
  1. Before you connect any cables, turn off your router, modem, PC, and Xbox 360 console. (Unplug your modem from its power source to turn it off.)
  2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your modem and the other end to the Ethernet input port on the back of your router.
  3. With another Ethernet cable, connect one end to one of the router's Ethernet output ports. Connect the other end to your PC's Ethernet port.
  4. With the third Ethernet cable, connect one end to another of the router's Ethernet output ports. Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox 360 console.
  5. Turn on your modem, then your router, then your PC.
  6. Make sure your PC can access the Internet. If not, you may need to configure the router for Internet access. For help configuring the router using your PC, check the instructions that came with the router.
  7. Turn on your Xbox 360 console and sign in with your profile.
  8. If this is the first time you've turned on your Xbox 360 console, see Create Your Gamer Profile to get started with both the Xbox 360 system and Xbox LIVE play.
If you're unable to connect to Xbox LIVE, you can try to diagnose the problem right on your console. Go to My Xbox and open System Settings, then select Network Settings (setup XBOX using Automatic Configuration DHCP), Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Hope this helps!

Cant connect to xbox live

make sure that your xbox is acctually getting an ip address, by default it should be a 192.168.0.xx number and the gateway should be 192.168.0.254
If however your xbox tells you that its ip address is 168.xx.xx.xx (a private ip address) or if it is simply 0.0.0.0 it would sugest a cabling problem.
However if the network troubleshooter finds no faults and you are still unable to get into xbox live try setting up a PPPoE connection using the username eircom and broadband1.
Alternatively,If you click on Firewall in the Netopia admin page, and set the security level to Low, xbox live would suddenly start to work.
******Also add UDP ports 88 and 3074 if nothing works. On a netopia 3347 you can get this option in the NAT option.U have to enter the port numbers and the service name(xbox).
Hope it works for you.
