Popping noise Hi, There is a popping noise coming from the tv speakers. I tried tightening the cables, but it's still making the noise. I also disconnected the cable box, thinking that maybe it was the cable company. It's coming from the TV. Thank you, Patty

Re: Popping noise

I had the same problem. I unplugged the cable converter, waited a few seconds, then plugged it back in. When the box rebooted, the popping noise was gone!

Re: Popping noise

Our Sony (almost new) is experiencing sound problems. The sound go off and on about every 10 seconds. Cords appear correctly connected. It sounds as if its coming from the television.
Can you help with this problem?

Vizio SV47XVT 47inch Screen flickers and makes popping sound through speakers what do I need to replace.

This is a power supply and/or possibly inverter(s) board bad capacitors. Since the audio is affected it could be both. Be aware that attempting to repair it yourself could cause irreparable damage to your TV.

Sony Bravia XBR-2 32-inch LCD with popping noise problem

Unfortunately, we have the same problem. We hear popping and our sound goes lower. It is not the cable box for us, it's definitely the TV; however, it happens, on our set, after its been on for a few minutes and then goes away after half an hour or so -- however, this evening its been happening for the past hour and the TV has been on for the evening.
