wiped out everything with restore disks, reinstalled because it was not reading the CD/DVD. That worked. When trying to play DVD, does not matter which codecs are used, it flickers and is choppy, skips...etc. it also did this before the restore. This laptop is brand new!
Thanks for the fast response!
DMA is enabled. Programs used that are not functioning: VideoLan, WinDVD for Toshiba, Windows Media Center
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium T5200 1.60GHz 2048Mb RAM
Make sure that DMA is checked for the dvd player.
What program are you using to read (play) the DVD?
If you are using Windows media Player and Nero 6 you need to:
Go to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeAudio.ax and NeVideo.ax
Don't delete these files!
For safety reason create New folder and move files in it.
Try this and let us know . Thanks
