Locked LG Incite phone with nonresponsive touchscreen

I have an LG Incite which has been locked. To unlock, you must tap the unlock button on the screen. Problem is that the touchscreen is nonresponsive. I know how to recalibrate the screen, but must get the phone unlocked first. Can't do if the screen taps don't work....anyone know a solution? to unlock the incite screen, the screen needs to tapped twice. once at the bottom of the screen which says unlock and then immediately, as soon as we touch it... another screen appears asking us to confirm the unlock. once we touch for the second time, the phone screen is unlocked. the problem with my phone is.... it is responding to the first tap but the in the second screen, there is no response no matter ow hard or where i tap on the screen. my phone is stuck but al the hard buttons on the phone are working fine. I am able to receive and end calls. I need to take a back up of my contacts... can anyone tell me how
