Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I purchased a 922 "All in one" printer a few years a go for my desktop and now have purchased a new laptop. I plug in the printer and add the install disc but it runs partially through the install program then just stops. Is it compatible to my new laptop?
If your laptop is running Vista and your old desktop was running XP and the disk you got with your printer had drivers that worked with XP and Vista is not listed on them, it would be a case of incompatibility. You would need to go to the Dell website to download updated drivers for Vista if they are not of the standard Vista driver package. (The driver model changed between XP and Vista making XP drivers incompatible with Vista.)
