Question about McCulloch FHH18A Electric Pressure Washer

Open Question

New machine. Will not mix fluid from tank #1 w/water. Tank remains full.

McCulloch fhh18a Electric pressure washer - New machine, 1st time used. Will not mix fluid from tank #1 w/water. Ran for 2 hrs, tank still full. Yes the selector switch is set to #1. Sprayer and garden hose connected correctly. I found this little white plastic perforated cone on the ground, seemed to fit perfectly into the hose connector. And yes, I don't have the manual. I am having the same problem with my 1800Psi power washer. Was only able to use tank #2 last year tank #1 have never been able to get to work. Went to use it today and now cannot get nothing from either tank.Have it turned to detergent, hose connected properly, both tanks full after running for 15 minutes.

SOURCE: fhh18a water flows INTO the tanks during operation.

There should be a ball and spring in the valve where you attach the soap suction hose.

If the pump is leaking then it is going to either be the water seals or o-rings on the inside of the pump. If this is the case I would recommend just tossing the unit, what it would cost to rip the machine apart and replace these items would be more than what the machine is worth.

Detergent won't come out of washer

the pick up line sounds like it is blocked...probably by soap that has hardened in the line...take it off and clean it with hot water....squirt the garden hose up the line to help free up stuck gunge in line..take time with it and all will be fine.....remember to run clean fresh water thru soap pick up line after every use.

Instructions for chemical tank 1 and 2 use are on page 6. Wand must be in the low pressure position to dispense chemicals.

Add fluid to tank but it never goes down no matter how long I spray, is it a product fluke?

Your pressure washer has a knob on the front that lets you choose between tank 1 or tank 2. Tank 1 is the larger of the two tanks. Make sure you have the knob set to position 1. Also, you will find that when you have the wand set to high pressure, the tank will not work as well. When you want to spray soap, spray with the low pressure setting. You can set the pressure to low by pulling out the nozzle on the front of the wand. Pushing it back in is high pressure.

What are the steps to use Mc Culloch FHH18A powerwasher? What is the liquids I should use?

Hello awseibel:
  1. attach your garden hose to the inlet (at the back I believe)
  2. Attach high pressure hose with gun wand/nozzle
  3. turn on the water
  4. plug into electrical outlet
  5. turn on/off switch on
  6. spray away
  7. Any non-caustic soap can be used
  8. You must set the machine on low pressure to apply soap.

McCulloch M#FHH18A High Pressure Jet Washer,

On hooking up to a water source and plugging it in to an electrical outlet any attempt to test the unit is unsuccessful to include having the on/off switch in either position. With the switch in the on position pump does not operator. The last time I used the unit was July of last year and prior to storing it I did drained the hose.
