Unstable LG Fridge

My new LG fridge sit leveled on the ground, however when the body of the fridge can be moved with little effort. Upon checking I noticed that the the rear two are with wheels while the front two are are adjustable screw type legs. It appears that the stability issue arises from the front screw type leg as it is not sufficiently locked to the body. What should I do?

need to check to see if the drain line is still in drain pan. if so make sure the condensor fan is blowing. this is the fan beside compressor. its purpose is to transfer heat of the compressor over the drain pan to evaporate the water

SOURCE: Hi I have a Hoover Contour Fridge Freezer and

Your refrigerator has a drain that leads to the exterior drain pan beneath the refrigerator. Occasionally this drain can become clogged resulting in standing water inside your refrigerator. A similar drain exists in the freezer, which when clogged results in ice build up on the floor of the freezer.

The drain is located either on the floor of the refrigerator, beneath the vegetable crisper, or in the wall behind a drain funnel.

Clear the drain by forcing a solution of water and bleach or water and baking soda into it with a basting syringe. If the solution will not flow through, slide a length of ¼ inch flexible tubing into the drain tube to push the clog through to the drain pan. Remove the tubing after clearing the clog.

NOTE-(This may be a leveling issue as well)

It is important for the refrigerator to be level. If it is not level, doors may not open or close properly and may not seal tightly. Also, drainage from the defrost cycle might be impaired as might the ice making cycle. The appliance was engineered based on it being installed in a level position. While there may be some tolerance for out-of-level installation, the appliance will operate at its best when properly leveled.

Place a level on top of the refrigerator near the front. Do not put it on the door because the door may not be aligned with the refrigerator case. Check that the refrigerator is level from side to side. Next turn the level to check that it is level from front to back.

If it is not level, adjust one or more of the adjustable leveling feet until it is level. The feet are bolts that can be turned to raise or lower the refrigerator. If they cannot be adjusted with your fingers, use a crescent wrench or pliers.

If you have an ice-maker, it should also be checked for level after first leveling the refrigerator. An ice-maker that is out of level will spill water into the ice bin or into the freezer. It can be repositioned by loosening the mounting screws, adjusting it for level and then re-tightening the screws.

SOURCE: Thick brown liquid at leg of of refrigerator

the thick brown liquid is decomposing moss, from the condensate inside the unit finding a way out.(think of it as the same stuff you get around a shower tray)clean out the fridge using clorine bleach and dry thoroughly....leave the door open for the clorine to gas off otherwise it will taint the food.when the smell has gone then close door and switch on.(some people use milton fluid, but clorine kills all known germs....)

LG Fridge GS-L668PNL (Control Panel-Display) not working

It is possible that the issue is with the control panel (display) itself, as you have ordered a replacement. However, before installing the new control panel, you should check the wiring connections and make sure they are secure and not damaged. You should also check the electrical supply to the fridge to ensure that it is functioning properly. If the issue persists after installing the new control panel, you may want to consider calling a professional to diagnose the issue.

Top door will not close by itself on fridge

Sounds like the floor of the house.. might be your problem..Try moving the fridge out of its position and build a small flat platform in that place and level it, then place your fridge on top of it..just in case u may need a little final adjustment get those small wooden wedge shims when you get your wood..they sell them at lowes or Most lumber yards....that should take care of the leveling..good luck..good luck

It will hot cool on electric or propane. Could freon be low or could it be something else? How is the best way to check this problem? How much freon does this fridge hold and where and what kind should I...

this sounds like an r.v. fridge these are absorbtion cooling units and do not use freon. check the freezer and fridge compartments for an amonia smell if none check the burner heat exchanger for yellow staining if none there may be an air lock or blockage in the cooling unit somtimes cured by burping the fridge rotate the fridge in one direction untill up side down bang the coils on the back with a rubber hamer until gurgiling stops let sit for a night rotate to top in same direction bang coils again and let sit level start fridge and check for cooling if none it is time for a new fridge.

LG Refrigerator has no cold air for fridge but freezer works fine

Sounds like the freezer fan(FF)is wearing out, This problem is very hard to diagnose because the fan spins but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and refrigerator. This repair costs parts and labor around $300.00

Fridge not cooling

Make sure coils underneath or backside are clean of dirt. Make sure compressor is humming when running. You can tell by moving fridge out and it will be at the back side of the opening on the bottom side of fridge. It will be about the size of a soccer ball. If it has a little of vibration and might be alittle warm to touch. Also open door and make light comes on inside. In newer homes these days they are using ground fault interceptors. Even tho this one is not plugged into one that has the resetable breaker check other walls for one that does have the little red and black push buttons. They sometimes wire some into one ground fault, when that pops, it shuts power to the others. Our house is that way, I have to go to our bathroom and reset it to make the ones in the kitchen work.

How to move the fridge

The wheels are probably OK, the tech likely lowered the leveling feet in the front to keep it from rolling by accident. Turn the little level legs (the screw up into the fridge) until the weight is back on the roller wheels, then you should be able to move it. A pair of "channel lock" pliers on the rubber feet work the best depending on how much weight is on them.
