Maybe your keypad will need replacing you can find a new 1 on ebay for around 3 pounds. You can replace it simply :
1st you will need a torx t7 screwdriver
2nd you remove the screws below your battery and after that you will be able to ease off the case around the keypad if you need any more instructions post a new question and i will answer it.

The top quick access buttons stopped working 2 days ago. The bottom buttons still work but, we can't punch in a custom time. The only thing that will work is the 1 for 1 minute 2 for 2 minute...etc.

One of two things is happening, either you have broken connections in the membrane switches of the keypad and should replace the keypad(which is most likely) or your main control board has failed in a way that it can no longer read signals sent by the keypad.

The keypad do not work

Either a software re flash may help or a keypad replacement. Usually facial moisture could be a cause of this. i would recommend trying a blow dryer on the keypad for 40 seconds with out the battery to see if that fixes the problem

Backlight display not working

Hey Dannes1956,

The Motorola V3m has a light sensor, which is visible just above the right soft key -- the key above the CLR button. This light sensor turns the backlight on when you press a key in the dark and disables the keypad backlight when you are in a well-lit area.

Your phone sounds like it's operating normally. I believe they disabled the option to activate or deactivate that feature.

Hope this helps,
