Here is the link to Citizen Authorized service centers, I am sure they can open the watch. Sometimes it is just a matter of having the right tool. I have several Citizen watches that are not supposed to be opened by anyone other than citizen. Good luck and I hope that helps.,

If the watch is worth spending money on a new band then go to a jewelry store where they repair and sell watches. I got one there.

Cant get the back on after changing battery

Hello. This is a tight friction fit back. You will literally have to use force to get it back on. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself take it to any jewelry store. All of these stores replace batteries and work on these watches all the time. Be prepared as they may charge you a few dollars to put the back on again. j.

How do I remove a link to make watchband smaller.

I just got a Citizen Eco-drive watch similar to this one (mine is titanium) for Christmas and took it into the jewelry store today to have it resized. Unfortunately, things didn't go well and it is now on it's way to another jewelers shop for repair. The pins have a short sleeve on them that is supposed to remain inside the links. However when they removed the links, the sleeves came out and they couldn't put them back in. Without the links, the pins do not remain secure in the links. I recommend you take you watch to a jeweler to have it adjusted professionally.

A "non" fully charged watch will sometimes "jump" seconds rather than indicate one second intervals. Charging these small solar panel watches takes forever, in BRIGHT sun. Have you tried leaving it outside, in the sunlight, for at least 12 hours?

Gruen rectangler watch

I don't see any numbers in your post, and I am sorry to say that I would highly suggest trying a different jewelry store. Gruen is not a difficult brand to work with and you should be able to find someone cheaper then that. At my old store we charged $6 Have you tried JC Penny? or Wal-Mart? Just ask if they are someone who has done a few watches (not just someone covering the jewelry department while the regular person is on lunch or break). If you really want to do it your self, post the type and model numbers you should see on the back of the watch, for further help.
