Heating element on toaster oven have mercury in them

No they don't. If they did it would be online and they would never get through inspection anyway. Mercury is expensive, but you do find mercury in all florescent tubes and compact florescent lamps in very small quantities. Toaster oven elements are radiant and have a metal element inside a ceramic glass tube.

Heating elements keep coming on and off after blower turns off

Yes your sequencer is the switch to energize the elements & sometime the low speed on the blower motor. It completes the 240 volts going to the elements. The sequencer turns the elements on in stages as well as the blower, & most sequencers have numbers on the side to tell what thermal disk turns on first. The blower, & one element should be wired on the 1 & 2 terminals (this turns on first when the sequencer coil is energized & shuts off last when the coil is de-energized). If any of the thermal discs are stuck closed, this will constantly energize the element on that switch.

Goodman package unit heat strips will not turn on

Put meter probes at in put terminal of the element if you read 220volts that mean your relay is good. if you got it there use amp meter on one leg of that element. You should read some amp draw there but if there is no amp draw it mean the element broke.

SMEG OVEN BRAND NEW WON'T HEAT

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  • Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  • If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  • When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Dead, has power going into wiring, but wont do anything no lights or nothing could it be the thermal fuse?

It is almost definitely the thermal fuse. However, you also need to determine why it blew the thermal fuse. This fuse is in place to protect the Control Unit from overheating cause by to high of an amp draw from the motor, the heating element, or a dead short in one of the solenoids.

Replace the thermal fuse, which is located on the Control Unit, behind the Control Panel. After replacing the thermal fuse, start the dishwasher and using an amp meter, test the amp draw of the unit at the supply connection.

During the water fill, you should only see 0.1 to 0.2 amps at the most, and possibly could show 0.0 amps. Once the wash motor turns on, you should see somewhere between 1.2 and 1.8 amps. If the amp draw goes over 2.0 and stays there, you have a bad wash motor.

The best way to check the amp draw of the heater is to put the unit into a field diagnostic mode. To do this, cancel the cycle and wait for the unit to shut down (standby mode). In this order, press "HI TEMP WASH - AIR DRY - HI TEMP WASH - AIR DRY". Air Dry could also be labeled No Heat Dry or something similar. All of the LEDs will light up momentarily and the heat element will be turned on briefly. The amp draw of the heat element can read from 5.5 amps to 7.0 amps. If the amp draw of the heat element goes above 7.5, chances are that your heat element is bad and needs to be replaced.

Roper dryer does not heat . replaced heating element and thermal fuse. what's wrong

No heat at all is usually the thermal fuse, the high limit thermostat, the heating element or you have a bad breaker at the box and are running on 1/2 phase (or 110 only).

With the power OFF and the dryer unplugged. Use and ohms meter (borrow one or pick up a cheap one for around $10-$15) & check the high limit thermostat (right hand side at the base of the housing for the heating element), take the wires off both terminals and check for continuity between the terminal (set the meter of ohms place the black lead on one terminal of the thermostat & the red lead on the other terminal, doesn't matter which, the needle should move, if it doesn't, replace the thermostat).

You can check all the thermostats, fuses, door switch & the heating element this way.

2005 hyundai tucson v6 passenger side heated seat will not warm up the light comes on. driver side is ok could it be the switch even if the light comes on

Possibly.... the only way I know to diagnosis this issue is with an amp meter in the circuit that heats the seats. Compare LH & RH seat heating current draw. If you find the pass seat is NOT drawing the same amount of current, further troublshooting is required. There are TWO heating elements installed in the seats -- seat bottom & seat back, and they are connected in 'SERIES'... so if either element goes/is 'OPEN', then it's component replacement time. There is a thermostat in the heating elements -- it regulates the seat temperature. One must isolate the two elements & check each one individually (seat bottom - checking resistance... and seat back - checking resistance). whichever one (or possibly both) are 'OPEN'. If you find resistance is normal (3 to 5 ohms), then the problem/cause may be in the switch (or its contacts). Using a test light (12 volt bulb), check for power (battery voltage) at the heating element connector to ground (chassis). If the bulb lights up, you know you have power at the switch and is sending it to the heating elements.

Model # lte5243bw2 not heating has power into & out of heating element

Your reading power on both ends of the element, but you will read
'0 volts' across the element. You have got to check continuity 'through' the operating thermostat & the 'high limit thermostat' and the 'thermal fuse'. Either one of which will case 'no heat'. The motor contacts have to close after the motor is running. This could also case no heat.
