Mitsubishi Television Model WT42311 HD1080

I had a problem with my set being on Cable B while it should have been on Cable A and consequently all I was getting was snow on the screen. In an attempt to correct his I went into the setup mode and stupidly locked out all of the keys on the front of the television. Consequently I cannot get back in to the Setup menu.

I tried unplugging the set but to no avail.

I can turn the set on/off with my remote, RCA Universal Remote Model RCR612, I can change channels and I can adjust the volume. Clicking the menu button doesn't do anything.

How do I get into the unit's Setup Menu?

If you have your original remote to the tv press menu 2270 then select initial and then enter to reinitialize your tv.

User Manual for MItsubishi CT-14M1BMP to enable me to tune the set to my local stations. Lost my manual somewhere.

The number given is for your actual remote. If you look on the back of the set (near where the cable plugs in) you will see a sticker that reads Mitsubishi. If you get me your model number I can send you the owner's manual

My blu ray and regular DVD player have sound coming through the tv, but the tv itself on a regular chanel like ESPN, there is no sound. This is a Mitsubishi 73" DLP.

You have completed the proper troubleshooting, and by process of elimination you have determined that there is nothing wrong with your television's sound. The problem lies in cable. The next troubleshooting steps depend upon how you receive your cable channels. If you have a cable box (or a satellite receiver) you may just need to unplug it for 30 seconds to reboot it (or follow the instructions from a cable/satellite company representative on how to properly reboot your particular cable box/satellite receiver model). Also commonly the cable box/satellite receiver is not set to output audio properly. If you are connecting it to the television with an hdmi cable the audio output must be set to hdmi. Also there may be a setting pcm or bitstream. The cable box audio setting normally would have to be changed to pcm.The problem may be with the cable box/satellite receiver itself needing to be replaced or the cable cord connecting it to the television may need to be replaced. It is less likely that the television has a setting the one source input the cable box/satellite receiver is connected to that would affect the sound but confirm that there is or isn't. Last there may be something wrong with the source input you have the cable box/satellite tv receiver connected to.

If you do not have a cable box/satellite tv receiver then rescan your channels, try a different cable cord, and check with the cable company to make sure there is no internal issue at the moment.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-73737 73-Inch, the picture format keeps changing automatically. for example, the format will be set at 720i wide and it switches back and forth to 720i normal. any ideas?

I've seen that happen on equipment that has automatic signal detection. Usually this option is available when connecting the equipment with an hdmi cable. The setting can either be on the television or the cable/sat box or both. You have to disable the automatic signal detection signal on both the television (if the television has one in the setup hdmi menu if there is one) and on the cable/sat box. Further you have to choose a resolution on the cable/sat box normally 1080i or 720p fixed. Disable the 4:3 override if there is one. Save and lock in the settings and you should be all set.

How to set up an x box to the mitsubishi wd 73838

both should have a hdmi slot. This will carry both video and audio. If you don't have a hdmi cable, use component, the red, blue and green cable. The extra red and white go into the audio inputs on your television

Need owners manual for mitsubishi hd1080 65inch

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

I have a Mitsubishi HD1080 46 inch TV. The projection shows a concave picture and there are red and green outlines like a 3D image but without the glasses. This problem has come and gone in the past now...

I have the same problem. At first I thought the TV just needed some warming up because after a while it would resolve itself. Now, even after hours of being "resolved" it will occassionally revert back to the concave image! Have you gotten any feedback or resolution?

I have a mitsubishi plasma tv model PD 5010, no picture the status light flashes yellow

Hi, When this happens, it means that the power supply has shut down for safety reasons, to avoid, a fire, an explosion, or both. You MUST get your set attended to by a professional. You need to contact Mitsubishi, and ask for a "Quote" for repair. I have included a link to a generic "Training and service manual" just so you can see how complicated and the special equipment required to service.
