I have a ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard. When I went into the BIOS, the only thing I see is the clock in the upper left hand corner. If I move the cursor the screen will ,one very big pixel at a time, fill in and you can eventually see a screen. If I hit a key, F8 for example, the screen changes but I have to move the cursor again and I cannot get the full screen because of the size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would definitely update the BIOS on your ASUS PC from the Windows Operating System.

Perhaps updating the BIOS will fix your current issues on the currently-installed BIOS.

You can find the BIOS updates on this site:

How to update bios

hello f_franco32

to update the bios on this motherboard go to asus web site

www.asus.com
one on asus web site go to services ---> support -----> download
at the top left hand corner type in your motherboard model P5PE-VM, under that in select category selct Bios,

chhose your operating system from when the question pops up. (does not make any difference which windows version you choose. Bios in independent of your operating system.)

download the version of bios you want. the bios you download will have the utility with it but just in case it does not, download the bios utility as well.

format a floppy and make it bootable. copy the bios files to it. start the computer from the floppy and update your bios.

when you boot from the floppy at the command prompt you need to type in the utility name "Afudos" follows by the new bios name.

you can also do this using a bootable flash drive.

hope this was helpful.

Drivers for p5n-e sli motherboard

You can download the drivers here:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

In the upper left hand corner of the screen, type in the model number of the board (P5N-E SLI) and use the drop down to select a category (probably "All"). Good luck.

I NEED DRIVERS DISK FOR ASUS P5E3 WS Pro. WHERE CN I DOWNLOAD IT?

All the drivers for that motherboard can be obtained from http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Just input your motherboard model in the search box in the upper left hand corner and search. It will then ask you for what operating system you are looking for and take you to the driver downloads.

How do i clear the cmos on my asus p5nsli

support.asus

just to clarify, to clear your BIOS, there should be a 3 pin set on your board usually located some where just below your RAM. On the board will be printed something like "CLR" or "CLEAR" move the pin connector, with the power off, from its current position to the middle pin and the open pin. Wait about 15 to 20 seconds and move the connector back to the original position. You have just reset your bios to factory defaults.
