From memory, the drain pump is accessable from the front bottom panel. TYhere's something in there stopping full draining ie colour catcher, sock, fluff etc.

Kenmore elite flashes f1 code and stops

If I remember correctly? It is stopping after the wash cycle and won't spin? If this is correct you need a new pump. I found out that front load washers have a filter that is behind that front cover and it needs to be cleaned every 6 months or more often if you have lots of strange items that show up in the wash like coins or toys or if you have lots of furry pets. Mine did that with out the code and I replaced the pump and check the drain every 6 months or so. I was told a good indicator that the drain filter is getting clogged is when your washer has an odor. Just a rule of thumb.

Machine will not switch to drain and spin cycle

If you take the front off in the lower right you will find a pump motor that controls the drain flow. This may defective. Use a shop vac to empty the water in washer if needs be. But remove and test this pump.

Washer agitates, drains OK, but spin doesn't start

Timer is defective. Your unit has a netural drain. When finished agitating, the shuts down and then starts up reversing to drain and spin. On the initial reverse start, the water drains without the transmission spinning. After a timed period 3-4 minutes, the timer is supposed to pause, stopping the motor for a few seconds. When the motor stops again, the transmission shift to the spin cycle and when the timer resumes power tothe motor it should spin. You are doing the same thing when you lift the lid...stopping the timer and then the tranny shifts and when you set the lid down, the washer spins. Replace the timer.......

Washing machine spinning cycle

Either the balance sensor is stopping full RPMs - or the motor controller board itself.

needs a new drain pump you can replace it easily by leaning the washer back at a 45 degree angle then right at the front panel you will see the 2 hoses hooked up on the drain pump there is a clip on top and bottom of it unclip them and slide the pump off the motor shaft then undo the hoses and do in reverse order to replace and please rate me
