Just went out and got Halo 3 and tried to play that b ut when It loaded, a white screen popped up saying, "To play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console" Thought it might be the disc but I went to the store twice echanging it and even had them try it at the store. Worked perfectly there but when I got home the same message appeared again. Whats happeneing?

This tends to be a problem with the DVD drive. After a while they just seem to wear out. You could buy a replacement drive on E-Bay but you would need to void your warranty to replace it. If you go that route, make sure you get the EXACT brand and model, and be sure the firmware is included with the DVD drive when you purchase it. But this has also been a sign of the red ring of death. The GPU sits right under the drive, and the heatsink will send heat right to the drive. On a few I have seen like that, there were black burn marks on the drive from the heatsink. If that is the case I would send it into Microsoft(1-800-4my-xbox) if you have not voided the warranty in any way. But if you want to try it yourself, you can find lots of helpful information at Llamma.com. Hope that helps :)

i had a copy of halo 3 i stopped working and i have tried 3 copyies they all say unable to load content
We have the same problem with every game except one, we will get a white screen or the play game button would say "play DVD" or "open tray". When we first started having these problems, we would turn off the 360 and try it again, it usually worked and it only happened with Oblivion, now it won't work for any game except Call of Duty 2. We didn't start having these problems until the warranty conveniently expired.
