Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition for PC

No sound. My computer lost it sounds after installing new program. How can install it again? I will appreciate it very much if you can help me. Thanks.

Go to playback devices which you can find by right clicking on the sound icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Make sure you have the speakers set as the default device. You can also test the devices here. Good luck!

Run Windows Update. The problem is a missing Driver, you can also try visiting the Computer company's site for drivers for sound (Ex. support.dell.com or acerpanam.com) But Windows Update may find the drivers itself, run the Add Hardware wizard!

I recently installed a new modem provided by verizon then lost all of my sounds. Can you please help me recover them ?


You're saying that there's no sound coming on your computer or you lost the songs save on your computer?? If the problem is there's no sound coming from your computer make sure the sound device is working properly check it under device manager..

I have lost all sound


Reload your sound drivers. I had this same trouble with this same computer. If you dont have the software, go to HP/Compaq support page.

My computer cant play sounds


You have to install the sound drivers again which suitable to your motherboard. By using the motherboard CD you can install the drivres.

for an easy and immediate solution, restore your computer to the time before you installed the antivirus.
to restore your computer,
click start, all programs, accesories, system tools, system restore.
select "restore my computer to an earlier time"
then click next
then choose a date that is before the day day you installed the antivirus.

No sound on PC/Lost sound files/Diabled Audio codecs


you need to uninstall pervious installed cd audio driver, Then re-install your audio driver again /restart your computer. if you do not have the cd audio driver, you can visit the website of your motherboard manufacturer. Enter in the search box your motherboard model number which can be located at the motherboard plate somewhere the pci exponsion slot. download the audio driver full path. Pleasure to help you!

Labtec headphone how to get it to work.


Sometimes you need to "burn in" your headphones. Used headphones usually produce a better sound than new ones. Simply let it play some music continuously. I usually burn in my headphones with some AM/FM static.
After a while, the sound should improve.
