Below a list of what you can do to save the food in your fridge.

Set the temperature control to the higher possible level, even if this won't make a big difference at start.

If there is defrosted food, take it out from the fridge, an emptier fridge will cool down faster.

If there is water dripping inside the freezer, try quickly removing the melting ice.

Get as many ice as you can from neighbours or local shop and put it inside the fridge and the freezer.

Close the door and leave it closed.

Either than that there is nothing more you can do. The compressor is a pump, and won't be able to pump the heat out from the unit beyond its possibilities.

Best regards.

Hi do you notice any frost in the back of the freezer? If you do not this is a bad motherboard, I would recommend calling GE directly if under 5 years old they will fix at an extremely discounted price if it over 5 then the board costs about $175.00-200.00 to buy.

There is a good chance that your refrigerator has frozen up from the door being left open.

The best and easiest thing to do is to unplug the refrigerator and prop the doors open for 24 hours to melt any ice build-up that may have occurred and then restart the refrigerator.

If the refrigerator still fails to pull down to proper temp, then you will need to dig deeper to find the problem.
