The video card worked in another computer. On this computer you put the video card in and you can't get any monitor to work with it.

Sounds to me like the video card your trying to use may be incompatible with your computer that your trying to use it on.

What video card is it and what machine are you trying to use it in?

It sounds like you have a bad motherboard on the PC where you are getting no video.

Check ALL monitor cables, reseat connections. Have you done any hardware or software updates? Graphics Updates? Do you get anything at boot? Just no signal? It sound like a hardware issue, Graphics. Support for your machine can be found here: http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/default.aspx?modelId=2064 You could buy a PCI e x16 Graphic Card . Better ,faster Graphics. First, check VGA connections, reseat, check for bent pins. Try another cable and monitor, to verify.

Does the monitor go out completely, no power? Or just lose a signal? Check ALL cables, AC and Monitor cables. Could be a Graphics adapter issue or Monitor , try another monitor.Your computer has a few miles on it , right? You could buy a PCI Graphics card if the monitor is OK.

Check if you VGA is properly settled in the PCI slot. Try to take it out, clean the slot for dust.
If that doesn't help, it is well possible that you VGA is not working any more.

No signal screen on moitor m3641

This message you get when your computer does not send a video signal on to the monitor..If ti seams to start and the fan is working ..check the cables to be proper inserted (the vga cable ..the one with protection screws on ) ..and if all is in place than it may be the video card to blame ..
If you have a pci or agp card installed ..other than the on board video card ..use that ..cause if you plugged it in the on board card ..it will have no signal as long as the pci card is inserted..If the agp/pci one is not working ..and you do have a on-board card ..remove the one in the slot ..and use the on board one until you will get a new card
let me know what you have managed to do ..

Moitor not coming on message check video cable comes up i have renewed video cable no change

It could also be you graphics card, try your monitor on a different PC, if it works ok, your graphics card probably has a fault. If it doesn't you've a monitor fault.

They're fairly cheap second hand from ebay, but check the connection is the same as yours, there are several different types VGA, VGA2 etc.

Brand new Monitor blank screen says No Signal

There is nothing wrong with the monitor. The LCD is not recieving any signals from the PC. Either you are connecting the VGA cable incorrectly or your VGA card is not set from the PC BIOS. The VGA cable might also be faulty.
Recheck that all the connections are clean and secure. If you are using a PCI-E or AGP card, the computer BIOS should be set to send the video signals through the PCI-E or AGP card. Follow the procedure in your motherboard manual.
If your pc has on-board graphics then you should connect the VGA cable to the on-board VGA out connector.

Error message on Syncmaster- check signal cable

sounds like it might be a graphics card. if u have an old graphics or vidio card, open the case and remove your card then install the old one. if it works now youll know your card is bad. If u have an old video card and an open pci slot install it and move the monitor cable to the old video card plugin. if it works now same thing your graphics card is bad. to know which card to remove just remember which one the monitor is plugged into.
