MX-3501N printer is not receiving files

My office is sending files to the MX-3501N printer but it's not printing. The Data light is flashing but no documents are being received or printed. The machine can still scan and copy documents, but doesn't print files sent from a computer. What is wrong and how can we fix it?

SOURCE: network printing from a mac computer to sharp mx 2300n printer

Here's a new solution that works. When adding the printer, choose "Generic PCL Printer". This will allow you to print from your Mac to the Sharp Printer without buying the PostScript chip/kit for the printer.

SOURCE: macbook can't connect wirelessly to sharp 3501n copier

I think you don't have the right driver for connecting it. Check it with other comp once or cellphone.

Sharp mx-350n will not print in color from the network

Which model is it? The MX-350N is black and white, the MX-3501N is a color model. I'll assume it's the MX-3501N.

Either it's defaulted to print B&W in which case you just go to your printing preferences of the print driver in the printers menu in the control panel, and uncheck the "black and white print" box, or you have account/user codes that you need to enter in your print driver in order for it to print color. Instructions for adding a user code to the printer driver are found here.

Our Sharp mx-3501n copier flashing improper cartridge code: f2-70 and will neither copy nor print. If we restart the code still remains never go out, Do you know what is the problem? Thanks. my...

Your copier is not accepting your black toner cartridge (F2-71 Cyan, F2-72 Magenta, F2-73 Yellow). It either is not inserted properly, the packing tab is not removed from the back, or a faulty cartridge. Often 3rd party cartridges that the manunfacturer "guarantees" will work will bring this code. In short, the copier is rejecting your black toner cartridge and you should replace it.

In the properties menu of the printer. Click on the tab of job handling. Make sure your user information and password for the copier has been entered. Without this you can only print black and white.
